The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
It does look like ARB spiked in DE yesterday and was trading up from c0.17 to 0.25 and today has opened at 0.23, so fingers crossed that's reflected for us!

Try reading the recent RNS and posts from Thursday / Friday reviewing that and the PHE business model.
Have a read of the monthly update RNSs the data is all in there :) off the top of my head circa 120 btc holdled after expenses.
Paul W is indeed a legend around here!! He's still holding a large fortune: http://www.investorease.com/xcompany.php?disp=major&epic=PHE&holder=Paul%20Warwick
When he got into PHE with a £1m of his own money the company was facing dinne serious issues. I thought to myself of making a documentary about his investment... looking back, what a story that would have been. Hopefully that's lots more to come!
I've been in PHE for years and was in ITM for a short spell. Whilst they are both hydrogen producers PHE is so much more. We don't consume 'tons' of electricity from the grid (coal, neuclear?) to produce hydrogen (5x9s vs ITM 3x9s?), instead we are self sufficient whilst helping to clean the planet of end of life plastics / tyres. This for me was the main reason I backed PHE all those years ago and I'm still proud of their ability and commitment to do just that. The forecasted billion dollar hydrogen business is just a bonus!
I'm no chartist but from my understanding if there were to be a 'gap-up' the would also be a drop to close ther gap, which might scare some investors away.
I prefer a steady start to proceeding, just as we are seeing :)
Fyi - ITM is currently at £2.35 billion so, yes, well over £1bn! :)
Hi chippyjo, thanks for that, much appreciated, I'll get onto it in the am and I owe you a drink! :)
When investing in a SIPP, assuming you pay tax on your income going into the SIPP, you get the tax back a few month later. This was a pleasant surprise and allowed me to buy more shares for the future.
With shares you get a dividend allowance each year (£2k at present). You only pay tax on any dividend income above the dividend allowance, if not in an ISA wrapper.
Thanks All, I'm not old enoygh to worry about IHT yet but if AFC carries on doubling I might slip into living a rock star lifestyle and without the years of practice required could then die befor I'm 50! Let's hope not :)
Thanks for that partial good news. Maybe I should start drinking Latour 1864, I'll worry less and have less cash to worry about ;)
Hi All, I've had a look online and can't find the answer so hope someone might be able to help.
Is there a limit on the total ISA amount that can be held. I know 20k pa is the limit to add funds but is there a lifetime / total threshold at which ISA tax advantages no longer apply - ie. Over £1m?
It would also be good to understand the value of marine opportunities. ABB supply ships with fuel cells (PEM at present) and also electricity when in port so they can turn off their engines / generators.
In the Proactive interview AB highlighted that ports / marinas were at the end of the grid a big opportinity for AFC via ABB.
From ABB website -
"We believe that modern ships will be built on the foundation of electricity. This expands their range of viable energy sources beyond traditional fuel to for instance batteries and fuel cells."
"well over 1300 ships employ ABB’s electric system"
From Nov 2017 - https://new.abb.com/news/detail/51634/abb-to-deliver-first-fuel-cell-system-for-royal-caribbean
"Royal Caribbean International vessel and will be the first fuel cell system to provide an energy source for a luxury cruise ship.
Last year was the first time that mobile power from fuel cells exceeded stationary installations, according to The Fuel Cell Industry Review 2016, and the maritime industry is quickly recognizing the potential of a technology that delivers emissions-free simplicity, maintainability and efficiency."
A great client to help focus development of the Hydro-X Cell (S).
Profit takers will be replaced by people with higher averages helping the sp to grow.
Based on the fundamentals this company makes no sense at this price. As such I added heavily on the Thursday spike to top up my buy from early December and despite losing on that and buy in ng 'at the top' I'm still in profit :)
This stock is really unusual, in a good way. The secret can't remain a secret forever. That said, the people I've tried to 'educate' about crypto mining don't really get crypto and consider mining far too technical, obscure and risky. More fool them, there are only about 5 core things to understand and then it's practically the most directly comparable sector in existence!
Thank you for clarification Dave. This is somewhat reassuring, though it does highlights the importance of the weakest link.
This year's seen transformational progress for PHE in the board room, on the ground and in the SP; which is brilliant but there is now so much more to loose and we're so close to having a working DMG.
Exciting and nerous times!
Thanks kenny100, interesting research as always.
It would be good to know how / if PHE can now benefit from this relationship going forward.
I think around the time the G3 unit when to Aus or came back (2015/16?) there was mention of this US 'partner' and that was used by some to add some confusion to the situation at that time. I'm certainly not trying to do the same thing and was hoping for some clarity given the use of the old logo and mention of pyromex.
Maybe they're just waiting for the DMG and then that's Africa in the bag!?
Hi Dodger, i emailed DR today(guessed email address!) for the first time re. my scaling up post so don't wish to trouble him further.
The Africa link is odd and certainly one to raise at some point but right now I guess we're all more interested to get the DMG working :)
I don't really know anything about these systems so not sure how they all link back to the hydrogen / battery :)
ABs point about grid augmentation (via ABB partnership) was interesting, primarily as that is a 'bigger opportunity'. As B2 has just pointed out, the global numbers seem to dwarf EV charging.
How do you see Grid Augmentation working - a direct feed into the grid from a fuel cell, suplementing the need to draw from the grid (ie. Part grid / part fuel cell power for new offices, flats, sevice stations) or both?
