Stu Ive read around the subject a little and understand that the usual target (CD19) is lacking in AML so you need an alternative 'target' found exclusively on the surface of AML cells ..I read this has been found (new targets CSF1R and CD86) so yes I take your point that CAR-T hasn't worked previously v AML but our collective hope is that HEMO have found a way to target AML so to your point Ive read articles that say CAR-T doesn't work on AML and articles that says new techniques are being developed (aka HEMO CAR-T) let's hope that Im right for a million different reasons

Stu, you referred to HEMO CAR-T as a "drug"..that's not the case, it isn't a drug, it's a form of cell therapy..you modify the patients T cells from their own blood to attack cancerous cells (the CAR) and you amplify the number of cells and reintroduce to the patient. There are at least 6 CAR-T treatments for other types of cancer that are in use today that is an approved treatment so we KNOW 100% that CAR-T works. We know 100% that CAR-T treatments are commercialised...the only way HEMO CAR-T will not make it to phase 1 clinical trials is if Hemo have made a glaring error in their IND submission which given the due diligence carried out strikes me as a very low possibility. So the question really is why wouldn't HEMO CAR-T work on AML patients if we KNOW CAR-T works on patients with other forms of blood cancer?

OK JHFH, maybe not 100% but 99 point something %...really, come on, no-one EVER said there was a doubt on IND application...if you can find a post from anyone I'll stand corrected (said the man in the Orthopaedic shoes), it was a case of when not if..I’m pleased it’s been submitted of course I am but I didn’t expect a spectacular rise in SP on IND submission that’s all I’m saying. The rises will come on IND acceptance and Phase 1 trails but again, this is going to take a long old time

Waiting and patience is required, drug development takes years not months, we know CAR T therpy works the question for science is does it work on AML with no nasty side effects...if it does we hit the jackpot and we rerate x2, x5, x10,x 20 who knows, this is going to take a loooooong time though and it won't happen next week

This is likely very old news but i was Googleing around and saw that Kite Pharma had developed a CAR T cell therapy technique which on the face of it seemed to be the same as HEMO CAR T..Kite was bought out for 12 billion in 2017 by Gilead so i wondered if there were any comparisons to draw...Kite's CAR T was fast tracked by the FDA also interestingly enough
