It looks like everyone uses them...except Boeing. The right poke yoke style tooling takes design and large amounts of investment....you 'could' avoid the expense and just arm someone with a torque wrench and pay the lowest money you can.....you can't have it both ways you either design the process so it can't fail or inspect quality into the product. Looks like boeing are doing neither

This is just incredible...I'm amazed they don't have intelligent tooling that records torques and number of bolts fastened or lets off a hooter if not all fasteners present. This is really worrying

I don't think it is a sell, such a huge trade would force the price down not up..this us surely institutional investor territory...pension fund etc and why wouldn't it be we're now investment grade

I see one of the motley fool crowd is having a dig again his point being that RR has got the same PE ratio as Apple and we're overpriced. I was having a think, paying off our debt will save £333m in interest, role reduction around £150m so that's £500m straight to the bottom line. What the motley di**head doesn't appreciate is that RR is a massively diverse business..nuclear power, areo, defence, diesel engines, marine and all of them undergoing efficiency transformations. I think £2.5bn is possible in 2025 putting us on a PE ratio of 12 which is halve what matey says

Surely the low spod price will have a disproportionately larger impact on the Aussie miners like Pilbara due to the massive wages mining in Australia commands..they've on literally one hundred thousand dollars plus..yes it might be bigger scale but still hundreds of workers and managers on super wages is going to really hurt.

The golden share is the UK government's stake abd final say in what RR are allowed or nor allowed to do with strategically vital businesses..they'd be prevented for example selling the nuclear business to the Chinese no matter what the price. The value of the share is the same as all the others...going up day by day lol

Slow, steady growth will do me ok..interesting to compare RR with some other large heavy engineering entities..alstom have got €3.5bn of debt on a market cap of €4bn yet they're investment grade Baa3 I think..why are we BB+ when our debt is only 2bn and we're over 5 times the market cap.

It would have to be damned near £500M if we're going to get to £2bn FY2024 Berny..guess we'll find out in May. Im staying in regardless

Around 50% of my portfolio in RR but I've been rom steadily buying for around 4 years (share scheme)..funny how this time last year JP Morgan had a rating of 70p now its £4.75. I'd like to see this year FH's back to 2019, an order for SMR and an order from Saudi for 100 EJ200 engines but most of all real results from Tufan's transformation program. Q1 2024 results will be the acid test..if we get £500m operating profit in May then we're on a winner and £5 by this time next year.
