Hi Raaydaar..it sounds like we agree for a change...yes, I know Albemarle produce lithium hydroxide..they're cutting back from 50,000 to 25,000 tonnes mothballed line 2 and not proceeding with lines 3&4. That's why I said yesterday that that was the equivalent of 3m EV's worth of lithium hydroxide NOT being produced any more. As time goes on, supply is reduced and assuming demand is static then prices will naturally increase.

Supply and demand..take the supply out (albemarle being the 1st to cut back big time) and the price increases...economics 101. the bigger question for me is where will the price be in 12 to 24 months' time

Hi Acores, the RNS reads to me that sc6.2 has been produced and that adjustments need to be made to the system to get 4,000 tonnes a month of sc6+ consistently. the RNS also reads to me that Prem are able to make a profit even with today's depressed spod prices...that's why the merry crowd are having a panic attack as the bad news has gone and nothing has gone wrong since Stark left...I'm only guessing 3 to 4 weeks until we get a monster RNS it could be sooner it could be slightly later but the point is that Prem will not blow up and that's why Jaglith and Raaydaar are having a shed collapse.

A profit is a profit...Albemarle lost $188m in one quarter due to depressed lithium hydroxide prices and the reason is they have to pay their staff $120k to $170k pa..prem don't have that problem and that's why Canmax won't walk away...they need cheap, quality spod not next week but years into the future. Once say 25k of Albemarle annual lithium hydroxide supply is taken out of the equation then prices will increase and the debt paid off. you're here to try to make a few quid on a short, I'm here because I see the world moving towards mass electrification and the Chinese want a cost effective long term supply partner.

Everything has gone right since Stark got sacked..e.g. conditioner being commissioned when you yourself were trying to convince everyone it wasn't even on site...we're in fine tune mode and you don't like it one little bit

Hopefully another 7% up tomorrow...good times and a great opportunity to buy into a venture that's profitable even at the current spod price. Ablemarle are having to curtail operations whilst Prem are still profitable...Canmax want a stable, high quality spod source not just now but many years into the future...3 or 4 weeks and we're go.

It's the fickle nature of AIM microcap shares...people want returns immediately days or weeks, not months and years. the psychology is no doubt sell Syn to chase another AIM rainbow to buy back more Syn's later

So with supply restricted and demand increasing, the spod price will whiplash up as soon as the oversupply situation on the back of spod at $7k per tonne undoes itself. the trouble is (as we've seen with prem) supply can't be turned on like a tap...huge barriers to entry

Assuming 8kg of lithium per car battery, Albemarle's 25,000 tonne per year production cut is around 3 million EV's worth..that is 3 million EV's worth of lithium hydroxide that WON'T be around..you have to think other western lithium hydroxide producers will be in the same boat I.e. unsustainable wage and capital costs no longer covered by the depressed prices...the low li prices could be a blessing in disguise for Prem as we can still turn a profit as I said earlier and won't need to curtail production

As I said the other day, this is the end of the beginning and nothing has gone wrong since Stark sacked. I'm thinking 3 to 4 weeks' time a monster RNS confirming SC6 + with possibly an update RNS sooner.

Wow, this is a huge cut back...50% golly. when lithium prices do rebound Albemarle are going to find it hard to re-recruit the workers they're about to fire...this (and other players leaving the stage) puts Prem and Canmax in a great position in that they can make a profit even with these depressed prices, ride out the dip and make $$$$ on the inevitable rebound. I guess this is because a Chinese technician and a Zimbabwean miner command orders of magnitude less in terms of wages. Great find Profit Bags..this is better than today's RNS
