Skelly85 - you are failing to acknowledge that the progress EMH/Geomet is making at Cinovec is directly related to the moves that the CZ government and the EU are making, so to say that the EU is making more progress is total BS. The development of Critical Raw Materials supply is primarily being driven by state and geo politics. You either dont understand this or are using it suit your narrative. Yes, up until the last 12 months progress and milestones havent been delivered by EMH and the CEO is guilty of that, no question. However, i think it is pretty clear what the underlying reasons were. The question is, do investors believe that the milestones achieved in the last 12 months mean that EMH and Geomet will actually continue to deliver what they have set out over the next few months? I believe they will.

Readers should take note of this excerpt from the EMH news release on November 27th 2024. An update on which projects have been designated as strategic by the EU is expected by the end of March. I have no insight to the decision other than projects were presented on the 14th March to the CRM board meeting. If the completion of a DFS was one of the deciding criteria, I dont think there will be many projects that pass.

"An application for the European Commission's ("EC") Critical Raw Material Act ("CRMA") Strategic Project Status was submitted by Geomet in August 2024. The EC has advised that the application has passed through the first evaluation stage - an application completeness check. The final decision on Strategic Project Status is expected mid-March 2025 based on what is understood to be a high number of applications."

Interesting to see some attempting to place a contingency on the completion of the DFS in order that the EU designate Cinovec as a strategic project. this is bogus.

Readers should also note the fact that the EIB have doubled their funding budget for 2025 for Critical Raw Materials projects.

Good to see the news regarding the CZ government approval. I think that this opens the path now for the JTF grant to be released and the EU strategic project designation to be confirmed.

I dont think that is accurate is it Scally? The government legislation and the recent EIA submission are all new events. We also have the potential CRM act to decide the first tranche of strategic projects supposedly in Q1. Cinovec is obviously dependant on these outcomes, all of which will materially improve prospects if/when they materialises.

LukasK - many thanks for posting. Having run a translate on the notification document they are running what looks to be a separate EIA process for the plant for processing the ore, including a transport system

Security of supply and targets in the CRM act going to drive the progress at Cinovec in the near term IMO. Offtake likely to have floor and ceiling to underpin the DFS. A busy H1 is ahead of us and permitting blockers look to be resolved. Risk to the upside now IMO.

Skally - Cadence completed a fund raising at a 42% dilution to their prevaling share price in December. As a Cadence shareholder would you be happy that they help onto their only material liquid asset in those circumstances?

Skally - the EU have already set out their targets for mining and processing of lithium as part of the CRM act. The next step is for them to define their priority strategic projects that will enable the achievement of those targets. My belief is that Cinovec will be designated as a strategic project and the regulation that the CZ government are looking to pass on February 1st will amongst other things facilitate accelerated permitting under the Line Act (recently amended)

Indeed greenmachine. I think the key question to ask here is cinovec more or less likely to get state & eu assistance on the back of this potential chinese action.
