The FTSE just hit an all time high. Maybe it's not "the market"?
Only rampers allowed on here I guess?
Yes, lost my shirt on this dog. 75%. Glad I sold at 55 though.
I'm a cautionary tail to would be investors. I'm doing a public service.
Makes you wonder what will happen to the SP once they stop buying back shares.
What a dog!
Jump in a time-machine to 2021 and don't listen to the rampers.
Wouldn't it be galling if S4S Ventures turned out to be a roaring success whilst this dog is floundering at the bottom of the FTSE?
@1msn, is that you with the trades? 1% here, 2% there ...
"What's not to like". Funny. Keep 'em coming.
2M! Wow! I had 40k and am down 75%. My average was around £2. Burned!
I guess your average is 45p though? Same as everyone on this board.
Long? How long? This is 75% down on where it was in 2016.
True dat ...
Auson,
You guys work so hard to put lipstick on this pig, it's a joy to behold!
There's no good reason why having a suppressed stock price is somehow good for morale; for directors, employees and even ex-employees. Company stock will be part of everyone's remuneration packages. Usually severance packages will include accelerated stock grants. So getting the SP up is in everyone's interests and directors buying would help with that.
Huh, so director's are not buying because they don't want to upset employees they've laid off? It's not much of a consolation to those employees, is it?
Any other reasons they're not buying?
"It would look really bad directors loading up on cheap shares ... "
That made me laugh! Keep 'em coming.
Looks bad to who? Yes, there's nothing that turns investors off more than seeing directors buying into their own company.
Dropping like a stone now.
I sold at 55p and converted my paper loss into a real loss. I wonder if I buy back in again would I convert my real loss back to a paper loss? If someone new to the joys of investing in S4 Capital were to buy a large number of shares would they be sat on a large paper gain?
Paper loss. It's nonsense really and you probably know it is. The only reason to invest, or stay invested in a company, is that you think it's a good investment. It's got nothing to do with how much you've lost or gained.
I bet they're having a right old knees up in Davos.
What complete waffle! No surprise I've lost 75% on this waste of space.
"company was quick to trumpet itself as a champion of the tech".
I asked one of the senior execs as to why, as a tech company, they didn't have a CTO & he said they weren't a tech company but a services company. I think all this AI stuff is a bit desperate.
@Jcj07, I feel yer pain man! I took a 75% haircut on this, walked away last week. Been in this 2 years averaging down all the way (like an idiot). I last bought in at £1 when this was an absolute bargain.
I'm not the first punter that got reamed on a bad investment and I won't be the last. Oh hum, life goes on!
Motley Fool is Click Bait but there's a guy on YouTube that thinks S4 is a great investment?
I guess you believe what you want to believe. GLA.
