I agree with you all. There are two differences for me between this and Synairgen.

I was happy to add and had the funds to add to SNG at mid 30s without feeling seriously at risk whereas here I do feel at risk and even if I had funds to top up and bring my average down I am not sure I would want to risk any more cash particularly with a very high average near £2. I have over double my SNG stake in here already and showing larger losses than then.

Secondly the BoD have been very cute, ridiculously cute and perhaps a bit too clever making some PIs look like mugs at the moment. The ludicrous share movements on Nasdaq have obviously impacted the respect for this company and contributed to a slightly scary environment where certainly I don't feel as though I have much control or certainty of what the future will bring.

As all will say, I can get out if I want to and I do know that.

Thanks gkb47 jint etc. I opened the link thanks. No I hand't seen it before. I see this is from 2011 application. I don't know whether this covers the SNG001 formulation and or method of application as it presently is. The document excludes the USA and I'm not that clear on the 2 digit country references.

Thanks to jint for confirming the PCT allows time to make applications for patents in other countries.

Another previous post here had a link to what I thought was a more recent patent for USA and Europe so I have no idea why they are different. I don't think we can do much other than leave it to the Board and I would expect given their history they will be trying to cover all bases.

Very encouraged that the SP has been relatively stable awaiting the next news and I am still confident as I was when my initial buy in price of 70p dropped to 35p. I did sell a few shares but now topped up since the rise.

Such an application may be filed by anyone who is a national or resident of a PCT .'

Am I right in assuming that no other person or company in a country that was a member of the PCT could apply for a patent on anything patented by another company in another member country? If so this in itself would give a good measure of protection of the IP but there again, without protection of a large local Pharma there would be little likelihood of enforcement!

I realise that EU and USA together is a large market but the rest of the world is far larger and protection of IP internationally would give scope for a much larger potential market anfd therefore value for SNG.

Although the trial was phase 2, I agree with your main point and I brought up the same point a few days ago. The only response I recall was Europe and US is big enough. The thing is that SNG do not have a worldwide patent and I would expect this would need to be applied for to have any chance of preventing knock-off reverse engineered copies of solution and nebuliser within a few weeks or months of release. As you suggest large partners or licensees would be needed in eastern regions to fund and protect IP in those areas. It may be of course that the BoD are either dealing with this now or taking the attitude that there won't be big money to be made generally outside Europe and the US since a lot of the therapy would have to be at close to break-even or even loss making to countries like India and Pakistan. There may be money to be made in other places like the Arab states and China, even Russia, however, as you say not without an agreement with major Pharmas with the clout and connections. I presume patents would have to applied for as soon as possible but I am no expert in this field and other members may be able to throw some light on the legal ramifications and likely difficulties .
Having said this for Phase 3 trials I am sure the favourite will be the US.

I am in total agreement with you and invested for the same reasons.

I agree that it is unlikely that any vaccine that has not had long term human trials is likely to be made compulsory especially if not for a high mortality disease. I don't think Covid at 1-2% mortality and if there are good treatments such as ours available is likely to be made mandatory. There will likely be significant public resistance if this was attempted and therefore I am not sure if herd immunity would come about. I haven't seen or heard any evidence for how long any of the potential vaccines would give immunity and I don't know how they would test this other than in real time in a 'challenge' environment. If that is correct it would need to be tested over at least 6 months in a human body.
I agree with pmjh that too much has been made by the government and thus the mainstream journalists on vaccines and not enough regarding treatments. This may change soon.

Back up to 2.60 and I couldn't buy at the lower price. Not sure where this will settle. Could be anywhere . I wish I had managed to buy some more shares though.

It appears that this board is dominated by a one man band who doesn't have time to read his posts to see if they are in understandable English before pressing the button and starting another. Although some of his posts are amusing, the ridiculous ramping does the reputation of the company no good and the excessive spikes in share price shown by the SP graphs are revealing.

It is almost as though there is only one shareholder and he keeps doing massive buys and sells just to earn the middlemen some money and screw up some less novice shareholders. There must be a lot of former investors that wonder in retrospect at their naivety and the sudden loss of weight in their metaphoric pockets.

Surely it would be sensible to get a deal with an Asian big pharma and to apply for rest of world patents with a licence fee to SYN. Or is it just too difficult and expensive?

Well I think I have confused myself. It is late. It is Professor Fish that refers to the possible unblinding and I suppose that would be because it would be a phase 3 trial for SNG001 but it is the CEO of Better Pharma that refers to immediate authorisation after his Phase 2 trial for inhaled IFN-A.

Whoops typo. I meant IFN beta is the one being trialled not INF which is of course our interferon as JD says.

Re Joey Diamond's post concerning Eleanor Fish's relationship with Better Pharma. I just checked out this Canadian company's website and they have hooked up with Altum to run a Phase 2 trial. I am delighted to see that as JD points out Dr Fish refers specifically to INFbeta not alpha2b which is the product Better Pharma are trialling. They seem to be at least three to six months behind SNG. Also they aren't US so no significant difference for Trump. It is interesting that possibly elsewhere I read that the plan is to unblind the trial part way through if there are obvious progress difference and the company expects almost immediate authorisation for use under the Emergency Use procedures in USA. If this is the case I would think there could be a good chance of early authorisation for SNG. Link and extract below.
