Scot @ 18:01,
"There has *got* to be some award for the following champion winning gobbledygook? Does anyone understand it because I haven't the foggiest????"
I'm with you on this.
I'd also like to read how a Non Current Asset which when sold reaped the company a USD$2.6 mill benefit somehow became part of a drilling debt. I'm no accountant myself so happy to have one explain it to me but that does sound more than a little "creative"
Moda @ 21:33,
I've never commented on that company.
I've never held shares in that company.
I've no intention to buy shares in that company.
Part of the "mob", no, you are incorrect
Stick to what you know to be true, making stuff up is not a good look.
Brom,
Happy to admit, "Amazing how many who I suspect are not invested are forensically examining 88E", I am in that boat.
Actively watching and will buy in on a rising market, my capital is elsewhere at the moment. Sentiment here can be a self fulfilling prophesy with all the markets in play, one I can wait for.
Blackadder2708,
Probably due to this release.

"if dead & buried what other assets are you hanging around for?"
None, I'm only here for trading opportunities, as should you.
"life full of regret & jealousy"
Nope, all good at my place, seems you are a little bothered however.
rfarfa,
"Why state the obvious?"
Well, because it's obvious. There is no pathway to market for gas from the North Slope and Scot126 is 100% correct in what they state.
If gas is the future why is the UK Government looking to impose a ban on gas and oil boilers from 2025 in new builds?
When do you think 88e will produce gas? What's your time frame 5 years? 10 years? 15 years? When?

"Biden could close this outfit down instantly and the company is then worthless"
Rubbish, by far the bulk of the leases are held with the State of Alaska, so unaffected by any federal decisions.
Take your hair on fire posts elsewhere.
chrisev1 @ 08:19
It reads to me like they encountered some issues but were pushed for time.
Could have been a bigger fine I suspect if they had not completed as contracted. Possibly some savvy cost analysis or could be just a bad job, which I doubt happened.
Erik is a sharp operator and has looked after company operations very successfully, albeit with a slight conflict of interest in the background.
Just my thoughts...
The AOGCC have fined the company $40,000 as the company failed to comply with the conditions imposed with regards the plugging and abandoning of the existing Umiat Well.

Rabito79 @ 11:21,
It's almost comical how often this "but the contractors took shares as payment" is brought up. Like this is some type of endorsement of the project.
The workers on site still want paid, not shares, not a promise of oil, they want cash. Cash to pay bills, pay rent, pay ex-wive, etc.. That cash came from selling shares. Those shares are shares that the main contractor took, Erik Elstad the Operations Manager for 88e in Alaska, was the main contractor.
Anyone else notice that smell...
Turnstone @ 09:49
Do you not see the irony in,
"There are lots of key board warriors on the BB at the moment spouting their options as fact, however Consider this..."
You then spout some opinion.
Comedy gold.
Rabito79 @ 23:33,
To be honest, my thought is that any results are largely irrelevant.
With 13+ bill SOI and 4 or more markets in play, this is sentiment driven. The high liquidity and great media coverage make this a traders paradise
