I am still smarting. I am a happy likeable little soul who likes nothing better than to see my portfolio rising gently toward the blue sky. I am not addicted to number crunching and prefer to study events and happenings. I am increasingly convinced that the world is changing not just as a result of a virus but because of poor leadership and more and more complex crisis.
I continue to hold Enquest but am shifting increasingly towards Greta and Attenborough. I no longer even try to look long term or even medium. I just hang free and swing in which ever way the wind blows. Chilting makes some very valid points...

Talk of 0% interest rates, continued stress caused by the virus. Muddled thinking by the politicians and lack of will by many to take up the vaccine all feature in my thoughts. Putin now has to be considered and even the problems in Ireland. There is never a good time o act only less bad . With the Summer coming and having found so far this Winter hard work I am taking my time. It is not recommended to become ill where I am as the medical centre has imploded..

This company is really impressive. Been invested for some considerable time and going to continue to hold it and may even add a few more. It always pays to study the form.

I was going to become a ramper but a close scrutiny of my portfolio has found nothing worth ramping so instead I am considering the documentary on the Great Plague of 1370-1400. Without any trouble it wiped out 50% of the population of Europe. It changed the status quo for a while as there were not enough serfs to go round!! Today the population of the Earth is heading towards 9 billion so so far the numbers dying from Covid hardly make any in roads to it at all. If people think a vaccination will be the panacea then they may well be misguided. I hope they are right but history shows there can be a lot of bumps along the road. Fortunately the sixth extinction may lead to a sensible replacement for homo sapiens!! Dinosaurs already roam around Bruxelles I am told...

60!! Long term investment is no longer an option from then on. I have just finished watching the PBS series on the 1st World War. Four years of madness and then every one sighed with relief and party'd only to catch the flu. 20 million died . More than the death toll of the war. I am reknowned for being cheerful as you know!!

Lots of optimism that the vaccine will unlock the prison door and yippee we can all roar off on holiday. Party 24/7 and start shopping again till we drop. Only snag is somebody has to address the bill. Now the thousands who have lost their jobs and are living on food stamps and charity will not be able to resolve it so it will fall to those who have weathered the storm and have cash in the bank...Many are burying their heads in the sand..
