Nice rise today but although Glencore have cut production of zinc the steel industry remain firmly on a down. Without that the raw materials will be in short supply. They have enough for the present but this remains a big gamble at the moment.

It is nearly two years since the licence agreement to Sumiagro was signed. I would have thought an announcement of its launch would be "Imminent" Now approval has been given or is at least agreed this launch is a game changer surely. I think the head lice treatment is too.. The old treatments are rapidly becoming ineffective..

It is far to early for a bid. This is being sold because of some taking profits due to boredom as is usual on aim. When the new products are announced it will one more ascend at speed. Europe first and then a move into the Us of A and then perhaps a big fish will make its move... For long suffering Pi's it will be ££££££'s

Read the rns this morning at 7 and been digesting it. Have had no news then all of a sudden rns's pop up like mushrooms today so it has taken some time to post. I am the person who has been watching Serica for about 3 months and then put my money in here. It was a mistake but it may come good in time but time is costly. The raw material issue is only part of the problem. The significant part for me was "No demand for the iron". They need the steel making to survive and the whole industry is in a downer. Thailand should export their dross to Korea and forget the plant there until things pick up. Then send the zinc to them ... Come on Wooletts you know it makes sense..

Well there is your new board. Looks fine. Update says the mine should be ready by end 2016 and in my opinion a lot will have changed by then in prices. Am going to continue to hold these as at this level they are beer tokens..

Think when this plant is working to speed it will make money whatever zinc price within reason. At this price the share is worth the risk... This commodity downturn though is worrying as it is like a snowball and as it rolls along it gets bigger and the talking heads will make it worse..

Nobody can criticise your strategy. I have done the same and held through thick and thin before now too. There was an excellent article in the "Money" section of the Sunday Times yesterday which was about selling at a loss. It made me think and has changed my mind a bit on how I will deal with downs in the future.. GL

Redcar is to be mothballed as demand for steel stalls with no indication of a revival in sales. Wonder how the slowdown will effect raw materials for this plant ??

Agree with your comments and am watching this all very closely but I cannot at the moment understand why the commodities slowdown appears so violent. It is either a large market over reaction or the wheels have come off and we are being as small shareholders duped. When a car company can expect not to get caught rigging the facts nothing should come as a surprise. One thing is certain and that is many smaller companies may not live long enough to find out... Overall things look a bit dodgy in commodities but the slow down is yet to reveal its true depth. What is a fair price for Zox. Jury is out but think whilst it may go lower it will eventually rise back to the 15p mark. Miners are lining up to jump off the cliffs and as they do the market will stabilise... Of course I may be hopelessly wrong..

$3 billion dollars.. According to an expert I met on China and Asia is that solar power is becoming ridiculously cheap and at some stage is going to reduce the world requirement for oil.. He said the speed and ease of its roll out will be spectacular..I myself though have been badly burned on green tech stocks

Yep took a look this morning but would not feel confident to buy even at current price. Even had a look at Poundland as many of my mates will soon be forced to shop there. Investing is fun they say... Got out of Pendragon before the slide although not sure if the Fraud Motor Company will effect them for long and now researchin "Citizens Advice"

I was with a group of men over 60 years at the beginning of the week. Most have been retired for 15-20 years and I was amazed at what I heard. Their houses have risen relentlessly and their portfolios have paid extremely good dividends for the last few years. They have all been feeling very well orf!! This week though they were beginning to waver. On Shell many have lost thousands. On miners so are almost beginning to panic. I did not comment but all I kept hearing is "They will come back". They might well but a few may never live to see it perhaps.. Myself I do not have to worry. I have a plan... It involves a bowl and a blanket..

It could have long reaching benefit but agree it is really jam tomorrow. Surprised we still await European news which will be far more now and then..

News could come of deals and products at any time. If it is announced at 07.00hrs and is game changing then this will open 4-5p higher. Patience and conviction is the key. I do not think this has been a slow burner as the majority of my holding is in the 9 -12p region.. So I wait. GL
