Heard a bit on R4 about farmers being allowed nico whatever from end of December. Seems it is needed for oil seed rape... Eco warriors up in arms over bees though already..Otherwise it is extremely quiet here. At some point the herd will return because there are quite a lot of tasty news items expected methinks. In the meantime I am amusing myself watching Shell and wondering where it will end up. Do not have a holding but Brent futures hit 54$ a barrel this am. Commodities are not for the feint hearted at them present so I will sit on my hands here and enjoy the rain!!

Whilst we are not big customers of "Spoons" we have four within walking distance and sometimes we pop in for a bar meal which proves good value. Many of the customers will probably not benefit from the rise in the minimum wage as they seem to have "Other means". I have no problem paying a slightly higher price and helping tax payers to avoid subsidising what I can clearly see is an alcohol problem in our town... The fall may prove overdone..

The reason I continue to hold these is simply that prior to the egm a number of investors were persuaded probably by the broker to take quite large positions. They must be expecting a reasonable return or why else would they have done it. This is a hard share to hold because many of the Pi's have thrown in the towel and taken the loss already.. Motto.. In for a penny out with a few less..

Today is the big day. I watch as they come out of the Sally hostel and make their way to the Post Office up the road. They get their money and all head back down to Mc Colls and top up with cans. I really hope you are right. I have a small position here but so far it has not really impressed me although I firmly believe in the product. Gas is the cheapest way to run a truck..
