I have been in Marstons for some considerable time. No better than TW really. My portfolio has dropped 17% this year despite many dividends re invested. I have money in a building society making 1.14% and at the moment it looks the best thing I have done for ages.
I have had my property on the market for 4 months. I have dropped the price twice and had two viewers. The first made a offer then pulled out after 10 weeks and the agent says at present there are no further lookers likely before Xmas. I have the option to become a landlord but I have no wish to be one. Currently deciding whether to proceed with my purchase and move on with considerable risk or just pull out and go for a six month holiday in Oz!!

Not long to go now before the machinery starts to grind away.. I am praying they do not go the same way as Wolf but I think this mine is a lot better to work...Waited 10 years for the opening ..

In France the yellow vest protests have switched to blockading the fuel depot's. According to the ST yesterday 74% of French voters have had enough of Macron. Does anybody think they would swap him for TM?? Usually the British are blissfully unaware of local issues in other parts of the EU..

TW is not unique. McColls has lost nearly 60%, Tesco is in yet a further free fall. Some of the North Sea Oil companies are struggling and there is talk of many others heading south after today's debacle. Banks go nowhere. I was in TW when it was 19p ... I have a great affection for this board but at present I will watch from the sidelines..GL to all because I have problems too..

If you are a natural pessimist and I am then investing can bring on depression. I am not depressed here yet but agree we are like a cork being tossed about in a sea of events... Time will tell
