mind you, i would prefer to clock up more FIDE points, but that seems much harder as the years pass.

it might be worth your while looking over a few over aim bulletin boards. if you think GBO has had a tough time from people coming on to post deliberate deramping messages, you are kidding yourself, certainly in comparison to many other AIM shares where there are much noisier and nastier games played on the bbs. with the possible exception of kowloon, who did at least seem to have some specific understanding of this business & this sector, gbo bb has seen very few deramping posters. i am distinguishing here between posters who try to deramp, versus posters who are not as optimistic about you about GBO share price prospects over short and/or long term. in my book, these are different sorts of posting.

yup. as with recent weeks, i am almost, almost, almost, almost tempted to buy some gbo today, but still not yet. (am we nearly there yet?) this does seem cheap to me, but then same goes for lloyds recently, so i added lloy not gbo.

agree, the focus on shorting misses much of the point. ( & never hurts to wonder why shorters are shorting, just as food for thought)

ash, i think you are basically a would be long term holder, or investor. but many of the posts that seem to annoy you are just from people looking at a very different time scale to you, trading over short-periods, & wanting to take full advantage of both ups & downs. they are essentially playing a different game to you, so if it irritates you reading their posts, why not just tune out? -- if i am trying to play duplicate bridge, but there are people at a table behind me playing noisy poker, i am probably best advised just to ignore their chatter? (certainly, their poker chatter would not harm my own cards.)

if you look over the recent posts on dan, seems to you that keeps bringing up idea of RT hating, not me. i could understand why you might be so sensitive if i posted onto the board 10 times a day to say how slimey i think RT is, but i am not doing that. it just comes across that you are a bit twitchy. hence my suggestion, chillax. no, i am not now 'contemplating that the best is yet to come here'. i don't know either way, i'm still neutral about the share, & have seen no concrete developments ( + or -) to make me change my view. i'm just interested to see what they do manage to come up with, or conversely what happens if they don't produce the goods. it should be interesting either way, given the limited liquidity in this share.

perhaps try to relax a little brother. my posts here make zero difference to your prospects, so why be bothered where i post?

lol, i don't hold 17 aim shares, brother. i watch many, but i don't put money in most. but yes, i do have plenty of time again to look around, particularly having finished a recent time-consuming task. it certainly is a bit slow on dan in relation to actual news flow, but no doubt at some point that will change one way or t'other.

or news, or all 4? some vim this morning, good for holders, and good for yoho's short entry point, so everybody happy.

(if you are wanting them to re-open a book, or to start a new one, it is worth emailing them or using the chat window, rather than just clicking on the ticker to try to open a ticket).

i haven't asked them myself re Dan, but in general, they are willing to run a book for long bets when companies are 10mill mcap+. if they don't have one already up and running when a company is that size, they will usually open a new one up on request, providing the punter asking them to start up the book will put on an initial trade of a decent size. (i have done that before with IG.) so given Dan's current mcap, i expect that IG probably would already be, or are willing to run a book for longs. whether they are willing to open it up for short bets depends on a wider range of criteria, but in particular how easy it would be for them to hedge up their own liability.

may i ask, why 'next March' in particular? am interested in the rationale re that 6 month timescale (it's a long one for many AIM punters to hold onto , so a specific logic would aid credibility)
