It could be that they don’t want shareholders to discover the real price they’d get if they sold the sandpile, rather than the current fantasy book ‘value’. there are other possibilities though.

if they do delist from london, and switch to trading exclusively in kaz, that would be an interesting test of which pis here have genuine strong belief in l/term underlying value at EUA and choose to stick with ‘em, vs pis who are just wannabe in-and-out AIM flippers. delisting from UK might spook one or two, understandably.

16:14, B1ll, the interesting possibility remains that EUA are not breaking any UK sanctions with their current restricted range of activities (i.e. mothballed mine and doing sweet FA otherwise), but might not be permitted under current sanctions regimes to raise money on capital markets in london in order to remit money into mother russia to develop mineral ‘assets’ based in putinland. … i.e. so they might in theory be permitted to place, but only to use the resultant money for quite limited purposes that don’t extricate them from their current predicament? … (just a possibility! atb)

Ienoman and i will presumably have different takes on that? —- me, i think they needed to place in feb/march, in order to minimise the risk of getting dismal rates & charges for any fundraise, as that will get worse the later they leave it until their cash has actually run out.

so i think it’s problematic for them that they haven’t managed to raise yet, as potential funders will know EUA is increasingly short of cash and can strike hard bargains accordingly.

but presumably on the other hand, leno might well regard it as a good sign that EUA has not placed in feb/march, since he might see it as an indication that EUA’s cash levels are in better shape than i think?

such will become clearer either way, of course, as we approach the next set of published results.

i’d asked you why you believe that a EUA deal has already have been reached, but with the participants then waiting until after an “agreement” is reached between russia and ukraine, before announcing that hypothesised deal.

your post at 12:00 just restates your belief in such a delayed announcement, rather than providing any rationale for it.

It seems more plausible to me that these updates are intended to persuade somebody to hand over yet more money, rather that buying time for amit to make a getaway from the UK — as if the latter was the key point, he’s already had way more than enough time to do that.

EUA is a london listed AIM company, supposedly not under sanction, with its shares freely traded on the open market, that has some poor quality assets far away from ukraine in the frozen, heavily contaminated and mined out kola region, far away from the war zone.
