Potential RTO candidate and Shareholder Loan

if you can smell smoke and you think the pilot may have ejected, it's ok to ask some probing and challenging questions.
If you're cruising along at altitude quite nicely (as we were a couple of months ago), then frightening the other passengers (perhaps to get their seat) is unforgivable.
This is an FTSE main index listed share. Shareholders deserve a status update before the oxygen masks drop.
I'm aware that the future here is hope for the venture builder model. However, the ability to convince startups that BigDish (or whatever it will be called) is a suitable technology platform innovator & builder is a track record. Currently, all they have in their portfolio is the BigDish dining & delivery app, so disscussion of it *is* relevant to their furture prospects.
It's clear that the BigDish dine-in/delivery app is no longer a going concern. The pizza hut etc adverts are simply links to these companies' own websites, so irrelevant. Bakers Baristas, Wildwood and Patisserie Valerie are all technically integrated, but haven't offered any seats for many months. Are they even aware the technology integration is still in place?
That leaves 38. A small enough a number to list here:
Beaconsfield : Toms Bistro
Birmingham : Beys Diner
Bournemouth : The Gate Of India
Brighton : Bardsley Fish And Chips, Cythereas Taverna, Market Diner Brighton, Regency Tavern
Edgware : Kenya Kitchen
Epping : The Merry Fiddlers
Kingston Upon Thames : The Albert Pub Dining
Liverpool : Clockworks
London : Brgr Ldn, Babur Restaurant, Boba Bar, Cellar107, Childsplay Hq, Chriskitch, Coffee Berry, Fayrouse Lounge, Goldfish, Goods Office, Grain Kitchen, Hungry Buddha, Islington Sports Bar Grill, Jaipur Of Chigwell, Kanada Ya, Le Madison Steak House, Mi Sushi, Mill House Cafe, The Indian Butler, Trevi Ristorante, Tropix London, Uzbek Corner, Vegan E
Manchester : Fress, Golden Nugget
Newcastle Upon Tyne : Cosy Dove
Twickenham : Brouge
I checked a few of the non-Tier 4 venues and they are open, but not offering any seats via BigDish. I think it's important for investors to know that the BigDish app is now effectively a technology template rather than a working (revenue-generating) platform.
Slim hope for the future remains, but that's all, and hope is not a strategy.
I'm still keeping my eye on this share, as I think it will soon be a candidate for a reverse takeover. Their LSE main index listing is quite valuable to an unlisted aspirational company. If/when this drops to my buy-in price, then I'll risk a punt on an RTO, but that's a long way below current price.
Count on 4th Nov, just before lockdown 2

Hello all. Shocked but not surprised by the fake news and false hope being peddled here by the recent new accounts.
Restaurants were not removed from the platform during the 1st peak (as claimed by one of the fairytale villans). Their removal is unprecedented. The chances of them being reinstated are slim to none. I wonder if Pizza Express and the like even knew that their restaurants were being advertised on the Big Dish app.
There is nothing left here except the micro-hope that this main index shell of a company becomes a canditate for a reverse takeover. IPOs are expensive. Buying a controlling share of LON:DISH when the share price has dwindled to 0.2p would be much cheaper.
Damage limitation time for those still invested I think.
+jyee7, they've been missing from the website for a few days at least. I thought it was just the website, as I could see them on the app, but this was because historical restaurant data was cached on my phone. Anyone installing the app for the first time today won't see any locations/restaurants.
sorry "ceased to operate" sounds like they've closed the business forever. That's not what I meant.
They have currently ceased to operate the dine-in service and the takeway/delivery service. The latter was deigned to support businesses during lockdown.
A formal explanation is required. They haven't responded to email for a while. Perhaps pressure on the nomad would be more effective.
if you clear your app data, Birmingham will disappear too. Sounds a little hopeful to assume it's lockdown related and that they'll return.
Their primary business function has disappeared which must surely warrant an RNS.
I was checking in to see if there'd been any movement on numbers / delivery service expansion, but found all restaurants and locations have gone! (this has been the case for days now). I thought it was just the website, as I could still see locations / restaurants in my BigDish Android app, but clearing cache & data resets this to 0 in the UK.
All that is left is a single location, Drogheda, in Ireland that has been there for a few months. It shows two Bakers and Barists venues with no availablity.
Have BigDish ceased operating? Anyone know what's going on?

No real change for many weeks (and no status updates - unforgivable IMHO)
Each day that they failed to progress delivery onto iphone and Web, and provide no comms/updates, I reduced a little. I'm fully out now.
Good luck all...It could all come good tomorrow
Spero.
From 2019 : "Aecom uses graphene by Versarien to 3D print an arch that may modernize transport networks"

At the time, it felt like this board breaking the news early seriously dampened the scale of the deal
I see takeaway/delivery working like this
* get your restaurant setup for delivery on the BigDish platform.
* continue to generate new delivery customers (at massive cost) via Uber / Just Eat etc.
* convert the regular customers to the Bigdish service with offers of free stuff / faster delivery / discount.
The regular customers will get the same food but cheaper, or faster, or with added extras.
The restaurant gets the money for the order *on the same day* rather than the end of the month.
There is no commission to pay of up to 45%, so the restaurant gets to keep profit.
The big delivery players will continue to generate new delivery customers who can be converted to the BigDish service if they become regulars. If this grows, then eventually people will start using BigDish in the same way they use Uber etc. Until then, BigDish are not trying to compete with the established names at all.
Restaurants deliver in a 3 mile radius, they just need convert their regulars in this small area to BigDish to break free from the 45% extortion. Hundreds, then thousands of restaurants across the country will be focusing on their own 3 mile circles in this way. It's entirely possible that this will happen, but not guaranteed, that's why we can buy shares for 1.2p. If you want to buy shares in a company that will definitely be here in a few years, buy Tesla, but you're not going to multi-bag
