Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I think 30p was a resonable call for bottom, given the oversubscribed 30p placing. Anything below 30p is fear winning over good sense IMHO. I used sub 30p as an opportunity to increase the total number of shares I hold by 1/3.
RNS due by Wed will provide facts and allow this share to start moving on fundamentals again instead of emotion.
Take a longer view.
Chester, from 15p at the start of your message to 0p (going to the wall) by the end of it. You really talked yourself out of this share.
GTTMUFO, your subtle de-ramping has become less subtle of late. Are we closing in on your buy price?
Increase my holding by 30% this morning. Delighted to have been able to reach my most ambitious target holding... and lowered my average at the same time.
+JimmyRustler, is this accurate? "RMM break even at $3.5 per lb copper for costs".
I thought the Rambler report predicted good profit at full production with a Cu price of $3.50 ?!?
Perhaps I misunderstood.
Bank of America predict $20,000 (double the current price)
$15,000 is required to encourage miners to invest in known difficult-to-access or low-grade resources. Prices below $15k mean they wouldn't be viable.
Demand now is global, not just China-based, so the price will grow in line with this demand and available resource. China won't be able to manipulate the price by pretending they have huge inventories (like they have done in the past).
Look at this annual copper discovery rate graph for 1990 - 2019.
https://twitter.com/BurggrabenH/status/1389283736898916354
...and remember this stat:
"About 3 percent of the driving population of the world drive electric cars. If you double that to 6 percent, there's no copper left in any existing mine in the world"
Think about the trillions to be invested globally in (green-focused) national stimulus packages.
Does anyone know if charting sites (e.g. lse, tradingview etc) update their techical indicators to account for the consolidation? RSI currently at 100. MACD borked. All the X-day moving averages broken. I'm hoping there is a way for these to be adjusted to compensate?!?
+Pedro, how do you participate in video feed of AGM?
thanks for the info both.
Over the past couple of months, I've enjoyed checking this page daily
https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/home/centerx:-56.093/centery:49.431/zoom:15
It shows Goodyear's Cove, the location of Rambler's port (or at least the port that Rambler use)
https://www.ramblermines.com/goodyears-cove.php
Aside from a tug boat docking there for a few hours, I haven't seen another craft anywhere near it.
Bulk carriers can transport up to 400,000 Tonnes.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulk_carrier
Rambler are aiming to produce 1350 Tonnes per day, so I guess that equates to just over one full ship a year.
Does anyone know anything more about this? Perhaps smaller ships are used? Perhaps 1350 tonnes (T) mined doesn't map directly to 1350 deadweight tonnes (DWT) on a bulk carrier? Anyone able to offer any insights?
It's an amazing website to explore BTW. Click on the layers option > satellite map to view the port.
trying to buy just under £5k. Had to put in a negotiated trade.
re-quote
"About 3 percent of the driving population of the world drive electric cars. If you double that to 6 percent, there's no copper left in any existing mine in the world"
I use this service to monitor copper price
https://tradingeconomics.com/commodity/copper
It's in USD/lb (sorry), but it was the first one I've found so I stuck to it.
In the long term graph, it shows an all time high of around $4.50, but the true value in 2011 was actually $4.63 - it just got aggregated a little flatter by the long term graph. The price has spiked past that a few times and fallen back. Yesterday & overnight, the price steadily climbed though $4.63 and is currently $4.68. That's not a single long-range spear, it's the whole front line of the army advancing further than ever.
If you can't top-up, then sit on your hands.
It depends why vast are doing it. Their share price is currently a small fraction of 1p (0.085p). Any further dilution will make it even worse. They may be consolidating to facilite a fundraise, which would have a negative effect on the share price. Ramblers reason for consolidating is different. It's to attract insitutional investors now that our finances are in order.
I *love* this graph

It's the annual copper discovery rate 1990 - 2019.
Spoiler: not much in the last few years!
I think this stat from PlayForKeeps yesterday bears repeating:
"About 3 percent of the driving population of the world drive electric cars. If you double that to 6 percent, there's no copper left in any existing mine in the world"

A view of the POSP. Their first post since last Nov
tech analysis from this guy has been predicting resistance at 0.62 since back in March
https://twitter.com/Darrenukdaytra1/status/1375393729469689861
quite impressive.
His later charts suggest that once through 0.62, we hit next resistance near 0.70.
The CEO has a series of share price targets increasing up to 1.25p. If he hits that, then he does very well financially. The board own shares, so are personally incentivised to get the price up there too. They have cash from recent placings and copper price is high. We're producing/selling, so generating income, which all means the chances of further dilution is slim to none. IMO, I think that a combination of re-rate + copper super-cycle could see 1.25p hit this year. Best case I'm hoping for is 2p-ish by xmas. I think the price could one day reach 4.5 - 5p, but not for a couple of years at least. Other things have to happen first (ore sorting, start mining Little Deer, more exploratory drilling) and none of this will happen in the short to mid term.
Market Cap £60.61 million divided by the current share price (0.57p). Share price is shown in pence, so convert to pounds (or market cap to pence) before you divide. Gives you approx 10.6 billion. It won't be precise this way, but it'll be near enough.
