Hi All. On the COMEX open interest has fallen off a cliff, the shorts are stuck with no one left to rinse and are looking at serious losses. At the same time traders standing for delivery continue to drain what is left of the reserves. The premium above spot on the SGE stands around 12% and is a very profitable west to east trade. While gold and silver consolidate the massive gains over the year the miners and producers are not hedging gold reserves at any meaningful measure. Keep you eye on the HUI, i expect some good returns emanating from the miners as they lead the way to a much higher POG/S.

Hi Lee. Some stocks have well beaten gold but finding them prior to the upside is very hard indeed, also it is all about risk. Gold ownership carries risk in the short term but over time it always wins (as long as they keep on printing currency).

Hi Lee. Inflation is the wrong word to use, currency debasement is what is really happening. Since 2008 when the banks were bailed out with taxpayers money the effects of unearned currency has seen real wages fall. Add to that the ill thought out cost of the fight against covid and a totally brain dead gov wasting our money at an incredible rate, has pushed the UK into a financial mess. Since 2008 the POG has risen from £450/oz to just above £1800/oz. This increase is a reflection on the debasement of the £. This trend will continue and the antidote for currency debasement is the ownership of physical gold. Anyone that has failed to see this has suffered a major loss of wealth.
