The Pure Gold Co broke their word to me on 2 separate occasions related to their buy back promise. I suggest using Atkinsons or Chards both offer a fair premium and have a proven track record. A lot of folks rely on the Royal mint thinking that because they are the strikers of coins they are the best to deal with but i have found their premiums to be too high, the same goes for Bullion by post. For the feel good factor a trip to Sharps Pixley to experience a top quality service and then tea at the Ritz (just round the corner) is a must.

Hi All. Everyone has a moral obligation to deprive HMRC of as much tax as is legally possible. Talk of not caring about paying tax is plain mad. Even using a SIPP is just building up a massive tax burden when redeeming your hard earned. At the moment the best way is via a stocks and shares ISA. Hi Jungle. Yes i disagree. Buying gold bars is not tax efficient and attracts CGT on profits when sold. Paying a small premium for gold Britts or Sovs saves the buyer from a massive tax bill. ATB Speedy

Hi all. Slight pull back this afternoon. I suspect some profit taking above ATHs and an increase in the banks short position. We will not see what the banks have done until Sat week when the week late news (COT report) is published. My bet is there are a few dark stains showing below as the banks try to defend $2500/oz.
