Hi all. GGPs SP is an enigma. All the fundamentals tell us we should be priced much higher. Sentiment is a major player in this undervaluation. Sinister theories about SP control and a low ball T O by unknown entities cannot be totally discounted but I trust our BODs to steer us through. When sentiment towards the mining industry returns and we are on the ASX and showing full year results real price discovery should see GGP advancing an keeping up with the POG. ATB Speedy

Hi Napthman Ihave been saying the same things here for years. Been a gold holder since 1970s with a short time out of gold to take advantage of ASTs then back in. All the pointers are for the POG to go to levels that will astound most folks. It is not impossible for gold to do 50 bags from here. By 2030 we could see USA150000/oz. The trouble is it will not mean a bean as the purchasing power will probably remain the same with a loaf of bread costing £100. Built into that rise will be the rerate factor and that will be pure profit along with the loss of the banks ability to control prices.

The digression between an asset and its producer has never been so great. It seems to me that control of the gold sector has moved from paper gold to paper stock. That approach was fine ages ago. Nowadays there are many privately own trustworthy vaults for storage with charges including ins for less than 1 percent a year. Putting a few sovs under the bed is fine but for serious investments storage is essential. ATB Speedy

Hi Droverman. I would not trust JPM. They are above the law. They will do whatever they want with impunity including breaking the law on compliance. The Fed is JPM.

ETFs backed with physical gold will turnout to be a massive con and with JPM acting as custodian for nearly all of them it would be silly to believe their integrity. Holders of paper gold do not understand the risks they are taking.

The predictions on the POG are dependant on the predictors book. I prefer to look at what is happening around the globe and make up my own mind, almost every metric points to a higher price. A slight, short lived pullback is possible but a crash is highly unlikely for the foreseeable future.

Physical gold stored outside the banking industry is the best option. ATB Speedy
