INDV, $2.8bln penalty for fraud. It appears to of taken place before the current board took over. Appeal will probably see it reduced by a significant amount imo.
Currently INDV don't have the cash cover. Could be interesting for both INDV and of course C4XD.

Do you really think the landlord would reduce you rent by 50% with that approach? If you do not pay the agreed amount, they gain peaceful entry to the premises and change the locks.
They'll then impound all of your fixtures and fittings and stock for repayment. They'll then serve a winding up order on your business.
The yield from that one shop will not impact the owners portfolio - its their asset not yours.

I've agreed with you on accounting however that's not how commercial landlords work.
Hence why Mike Ashley has taken the move to buy freehold this year because he cant get any leverage with the land masters.

To be fair Esecallum is correct, the BOD haven't been great. Next, M&S etc are performing much better.

Esecallum, I agree with you from an accounting perspective. However I think there is much more to a businesses success, it very difficult to just ask a landlord to cut rent. Normally they're held in laege pension trusts which allow them to sit on them for several years.....surrendering a lease is not cheap. The business signed a lease, it's not the landlords fault that the Tennant did not achieve its expected performance.
