The SMR news is more likely to come from Kwasi Kwarteng or Alok Sharma, IMO it will be Kwasi.

RR already have it but the government are pulling the strings as to when and how it is announced right down to the content and tone of delivery.

Probably getting walked down before the expected rise for SMR announcement and resumption of flights on 8th Nov. Quite common and same seems to be happening elsewhere with the likes of IAG.

RR gets paid by the hour for engines that are in the sky, in 2 weeks many routes are re-opening as does the cash-flow in to RR. The SMRs is expected to be confirmed by 27th October and then heavily promoted at COP26.

Nothing expected as far as I'm aware, the next expected news is relating to SMRs which possibly could be on 27th October at UK government spending review. Until then it will probably just be more board changes and appointments.

Very possible, if flights can return to pre-pandemic levels and you take into consideration the Trent issues are resolved, the company is much leaner in terms of pay and benefits due to massive job cuts, the diversification and recent contracts and asset sales there’s a good chance.
