The scientists and media that are pushing the 'worst ever mutation' and 'horrifying' are to blame as it could in theory be more transmissible but significantly less problematic with regards to symptoms, hospitality and death rate. Not enough is known yet to be pushing the doom and gloom. There is a right to be cautious until more info on the variant is understood but the hysteria and reporting is causing more harm than good.

I called it last night as soon as the news broke, unfortunately by that time everyone would have been locked in.

It’s more likely to fall deeper into the red IMO.

New variant brings uncertainty and further restrictions are inevitable. The variant has probably already spread and is only a matter of time before it shows up elsewhere.

Not looking forward to tomorrows opening price as it hasn’t reacted well to any negative covid news.

Probably result in a 2% drop tomorrow.

Judging by the last few days, the market doesn’t seem to care.

All this news over the past few days and not one single RNS with regards to any of it.

Great news but let’s see if the market responds on Monday, I have my doubts that it will.
