Wisha, I particularly like “not aware of any corporate developments” part is this suggests that the Resource update and the accounts must be as good as if not better than expected. Happy days. I hope there a quite a few shorters still deliberating over whether to buy back this mornings and yesterday’s shorts at a loss, therefore eating into any previously expected gains. Seems to me that they thought 30p was too easy a target so dropped it to 20p. Perhaps the big players will start to close soon. Wtfdik

Huge volume of delayed trades today already showing must be down to an MM or two playing their own game whilst the shorters play theirs. Impossible to tell what’s going on except it’s business as usual for BMN, Both on the SP front but also on the actual business front as well...as none of this nonsense is down to the business progress

Is it possible that the MMs have been trying to encourage further sells and shorting from other sources in an attempt to happily mop up all available shares on offer, thus facilitating closure of their own previous higher priced short position. If so, would it be fair to assume that once the MMs have covered their own position, only all the lemming "happy to follow the trend" shorters will be left carrying the baby.

Well done to all concerned in their efforts to facilitate removal of as many posts as possible from our infestation yesterday. More of the usual nonsense but also some very insulting bile as well. Hopefully today might be a better day.

So, can anyone explain why we've had trades of around 9 million shares, which = approx £2m and it's safe to say that approx only 4.5m or £1m worth of those shares were sells, BUT we are now worth approx £30m less than Friday.

Oh, i've got it! We've invested in a basket case....or so certain people would have us believe...and we should all bale out and let them kindly take our shares off our hands.

Should be interesting to see if we have any large (very large) delayed trades. We must see the end of this nonsense at some time surely.

What i always struggle to understand is why a day of approx 2,000,000 shares traded like last week, approx 0.2% of the company, can result in a drop of 2-3% of the company value, while today where we appear to have approx 8 million traded (whether bought or sold, and let's even be generous and say it's 50/50) and we drop 12%.

So £2m worth if shares change hands and the company drips by approx £35m...how does that work?

I’m not convinced that they’ll see a buyback as a necessity to boost SP so much as just letting general progress with business and also expected recovery of V prices do this for them. There’s been other occasions when a buyback would have also been handy but FM just let business progress as normal and essentially do the work for him

I’d hazard s guess that by the start of July you’ll be feeling rather better about things Mark. The last few months have been dire, we all agree, but time will change all of that in very short order.

And now back below our pre Soljitz announcement levels of last September. You wouldn't believe it was true if you were not able to see it with your own eyes.

Clearly being shorted but someone may have hot the nail on the head earlier. I think an algorithm may simply act upon a preset price instruction and continually sell what it needs, when it needs, at what size it needs (usually in round number ranges). It may also buy back at lower levels as well if volumes are low and quiet, so probably not fair to keep assuming that the short is being extended/increased with each sell, but certainly looks like it is growing steadily each day by a certain amount.

This then gets us back to a previous discussion about which institutions lend shares and which don't. According to most enquiries, none of the main ones lend, so where are they getting the shares.

I guess I might stick a £1+ limit on my holding just in case, although I'd been assured by barclays that they do not lend shares.

I'd assume that short sellers have a target SP Daisan. With this in mind, it would appear that even at 23p we had not reached the target, otherwise they would theoretically bought back.

So perhaps it's not as simple as a target SP, but maybe an attempt to keep the price in a low range for a period of time. What do I know?

Like I, and many others have said before, we have been here before, we will be here again, but we are still holding for the inevitable long term outcome.

I'd hoped for a bit of a correction by now, but I guess it will need to wait until end of June, unless of course we get some news on Mokopane in the interim.

Delighted to see that it has played out very much as I expected, albeit in a little less time than I thought. If anything, it sort of confirms that the MMs are not directly involved with those that "short" our stock.

Looking at the sell volumes, those that sold may have a fairly large amount to but back...such a shame.

I actually think that on this occasion the MMs may have played the shorters and encouraged them to extend their position. Hopefully so. That would be sweet justice.

The MMs are sneaky Bs. Allowing some buys at 27p off the bat, but not allowing sells. Then within a few minutes allowing sells at 26.75 but not allowing buys.

You'd almost think they were trying to dupe investors into believing they really needed to sell quickly by means of such a low buy price. Once they got a few sells they then closed the buys out and waited for a few more sells.

Let's see how this plays out over the next half hour as most LTH have seen all these shenanigans before and won't fall for it.
