John Rosier - Private Investors Diary in Investors Chronicle :-
"I am hoping for great things from RockRose Energy. It is acquiring the North Sea assets of Marathon Oil UK in a deal reminiscent of Serica’s purchase of the BKR assets from BP and Total. In what is a transformational deal, it is paying $140m cash to double its 2P reserves to 70.9mmboe and more than double production to 24,000 barrels oil equivalent per day. When Serica announced its deal in November 2017 the shares were suspended at 28p. When the suspension was lifted 10 days later, they closed at 67p and a few weeks on were above 90p. RockRose’s deal is structured in a similar way, but as it is a reverse takeover the shares will be suspended until the prospectus is published and the deal completes. I understand this could take up to three months. At this stage we do not have the full details, but back-of-the-envelope calculations suggest that RockRose, as a 4.3 per cent holding at suspension, could have a huge positive impact on this year’s JIC Portfolio performance. I need to contain my excitement and not count my chickens. "
