If and a big if we went into lockdown again, meaning reduction in energy usage you would think yeah YU will take a turnover hit but this time around any unused energy would not be sold back at a loss but a massive 400% profit as gas price is still rising today as gas usage would increase as people at home needing heating so logical.

So think this time around if it did kick off YU would not take a hedge loss but a hedge huge profit

I think I am resigned to waiting until trading update now in Jan for a significant new trading channel as the numbers cannot be ignored. Could be in on a forward PE of 10 ish at this rate and that will only take into account 2 months of the ampower book.

2022 if it maintained this level the PE could be under 5, TEP PE is 36 and centrica 96

Take a look at TEP and Centrica and look at Turnover, profit, debt and MC then compare to YU

Utter joke And if YU pulls in even 2m profit for 2021 which is very much on the low side as 0.9m for the first 6 month in the weakest part of the year - PE would be 19

Indeed and special administration ie gov bails out until markets settles and price cap rises again to make it more palatable for the remaining domestic suppliers to take on.

What an absolute cluster and mis managemnt by Ofgem and energy minister, the entire domestic sector has been decimated because of price cap and stupid green taxes.

Sectors need competition to innovate this has gone now and only a hand ful will remain.

All good for YU who will reap the rewards as they innovate and agile and in the SME sector, not domestic so price cap is irrelevant

Lady Luck is shinning on YU, so they hedged ampower clients last week and now gas is 20%+ higher

Two fold benefit for this
1. Client would be mad to leave as they would have to pay a far higher price now
2. If some do leave YU can sell the hedge back at a 20% profit

But also the effects of the digital transformation kick in in sprints Q1 22 as well as the huge uplift in revenue

The ftse it close to all time high, makes no sense , people should be buying defensive stocks like YU not chasing Bitcoin dreams and trash hype stocks.

Call me old fashioned but we are about to enter higher interest rates which means stocks with big debts are going to get squeezed.

Cash rich, debt free , safe stocks should thrive but the market just doesn’t seem to see the wood for the trees. Bizarre
