Yep spotted the bad debt provision which as you say is extremely prudent especially as gov backing for 6 months so potentially more to the bottom line. Can’t see anything not to like or am I just blind ?

As expected very very impressive across the board and some key notes.

Cash nearly £6m after ROC will be over 10m by year end
Gross margins over 14%
Overheads down to 4.6m
Turnover sky rocketing could push £300m by year end

We can go on and on but a couple of words mentioned

About to unlock significant shareholder value in the near future .

Not that we need it as results are already know it just the detail behind it and outlook for the rest of the year which again will smash estimates.

Most undervalued and under the radar stock on the UK stock market

Worth noting the markets are very wild at the moment, even though YUs exposure to wider economic troubles have been de risked by the gov energy bail out they still get caught up, but the cream always floats to the top

Bottom line we are grossly undervalued and value wins out in the end if prepared to hold I see £10 easily in the next couple of years especially as MC so low compared to fundamentals. They have already stated FY is a blockbuster

My honest opinion is I do not know. YU is an odd ball which has been know how go up way over 100% in a day. Yet the last couple of years it has been sell the news. We are valued at around the same as 12 months ago and the business is thriving. Logic states we should charge towards £4+ but this is YU so who knows when I expect fireworks I see none but when you least expect it BOOM.

Great week spoiled by the general market today. Results Tuesday which will reinforce another outstanding half year and future H2. Can’t keep us at this level much longer

I agree crowfoot, YU is semi insulated from inflation, energy costs etc as they back to back hedge and provide an essential service.

They have no debt and profitable which is rare these days. This is only going one way and massively under valued compared to industry average by a factor of 5.

2 brokers have price target close to £6 and this is before the latest trading update so they will be revised upwards.

I expect Liberium are lining up HNWIs and I also think once the MC is above £50m or £100m IIs will be lining up

Dividends is a good discussion, I personally would like a dividend but also understand they are in a massive growth phase as the medium term target is £500m revenue which they are well on the way and I fully expect turnover to hit 250 to 275m this year which puts them already at 2023 broker forecast ie 1 year ahead

I expect 500m within 2 years but this will be through merger and acquisition and I have always seen smartest business a logical bolt on as both sit under smartest for hedging.

I think this is why a dividend may not be on the table for a couple of year yet but looking at the 2024/2025 rocker forecast cash is about to go ballistic along with turnover and profit

So if cash isn’t needed for acquisitions a dividend would be a nice surprise but not personally expecting it for a couple of years.

And only 4 trading days to H1 results.

ASC, BOO, THG, ROO all examples of non essentials continuing to take a pounding. They will all come good in the end but more pain before gain.

Essentials bucking the trend as expected in this environment, come on YU get to a realistic valuation which is far above this level

Goes to show how YU are the stars of the sector even in these odd times through strong management and risk management.

Onwards and upwards, not very often opportunities like this come around. No debt, profitable, smashing estimates continually and all for 32m MC with turnover of at least 250m this year. Biggest bargain in the stock market
