If anyone was to blame, it’s the same people that many are blaming now for the decline in SP, the MM’s.

They are the ones who pushed the price up to 38.5p, not Pi’s, just the same as it’s the MM’s pushing it back down again.

Well forgive me if I’m mistaken, but didn’t something massive happen in 2020.

I remember it well, as do most LTH’s here.

I’m pretty sure that in January that year the GGP share price was at around the 2p mark. By Xmas it was at 38.5p, don’t you think, especially for someone with millions of shares bought for peanuts, that was what you could of called “A life changing event”.

Now the fact you decided not to take that opportunity like many others, you are venting your frustration’s out at the wrong person.

Look in the mirror to see the person to hang the blame upon, but there’s absolutely no point in keep moaning about the lack of an updated MRE, it will come when it comes.

I can sympathise with you regarding wanting to provide for your family, but you can’t say you didn’t get the chance, many here never got that chance.

Doesn’t holding this stock remind you of when you caught your first big fish.

You knew it was a BigN, but couldn’t see through the murky water to know just how big.

You knew you had hooked a monster, but how did you manage to catch it.

With your rod bending nearly double, and your line being so taught you could pluck a tune on it, you had a decision to make.

Did you just go for it and drag it ashore knowing that at anytime it could all end in tears if your line snapped, or did you play the long game, and let it think it was in charge, whilst you masterfully guided it away from any potential snags knowing eventually it will tire, before landing this prize specimen.

I think SD is one fine angler who has many feathers in his cap, who can change tack no matter what the obstacles and conditions are.

I asked you yesterday to explain how Rio will provide more money for shareholders in the short term than what our current position is in owning 30% of what will become a hugely profitable mine.

We have one asset at present, Havieron, and even though we only own 30% of it, once in production it’ll be worth more than a lot of 100% owned projects out there.

Why on earth do you think it’s attracted all the big hitters currently sat on the board. It’s certainly not for their expertise on exploration I can tell you.

Sometimes you just come out with utter nonsense.

So why did Shaun say (reported by some at the TH) that if GGP were to divest their 30% interest in Havieron, he’d be off, as exploration is not what he’s here for.

That doesn’t sound like the sort of thing someone would say if he “wants to sell and bank the loot, and move on to concentrate fully on the other things that Greatland has in the pipeline”, does it ?

One Question that needs answering, but I don’t think it has been asked, is,

What happens to the tolling charge, which is only 10% above processing costs, if Newmont decide to shut down Telfer altogether ?

I know SD has always said what a great deal it is, but is it too good of a deal that Newmont will think to themselves, there’s nothing in it for them.

Personally I’d like to think everything carries on as per original agreement with Newcrest, but at this stage anything could possibly happen !

You say that Rio will want the gold out of the ground asap.

So why are they not doing that with their winu project. Why have they decided to put production back there another twelve months.

Trippy, I’m not dissing the man, he did what he thought was best for him & his family, just like most people do.

But don’t be kidding yourself that he put a far more experienced man in charge for our benefit.

It’s a good job he did. Just ask yourself why he didn’t leave his investment in GGP to grow ever larger, and sold out at the earliest opportunity ?

He knew exactly what he was doing and had already made the calculation as to what his shares were to be worth.

The problem is, most investors just hadn’t worked it out.

I’ll bet my bottom dollar that he’s not on Callum’s Xmas card list.

Trippy I think you will find that he said that once he’d got the value of the company upto a £B quid, he was off.

Because of what happened in 2020 with Covid and all that free cash sloshing about, that £B valuation came much faster than even he imagined, and thus took full advantage of it.

Have you all forgotten the time when he tried to hoodwink everyone by buying 500,000 shares, whilst selling his entire holding at the same time.

But for Shaun Day, we wouldn’t still have a company, we’d of been bought out for a pittance by Newcrest.

Spread currently at 7.10 - 7.50 with the mid price at 7.30.
