Is it just me or do others here find it a strange coincidence that the start of our recovery ties in with the announcement by STARVEST that they are about to distribute their GGP shares to shareholders.

Now why is that ?

Is it possible that STARVEST were unaware that their GGP holding was being lent out ?

Would that cause the shorters to suddenly panic, knowing that they had a very tight window to buy back those shares and return them.

Would like to know other peoples ideas on this.

Hi speedie, I was considering offloading my BTL’s, but with rents being at ATH’s, and I believe once things start to calm down, values on property will go stupid.

With all the wage rises that have occurred since Covid, once inflationary pressures are swallowed up and prices become the norm once again, the market will do as it’s always done, and continue to grow, thus pushing property prices even higher.

I believe in the end, younger people will just end up renting, just as they do all over Europe.

It’s like history is repeating itself whereby property & gold will be the only true assets.

Acechacer, Freddie’s like the ventriloquist dummy, he’s been in & out of my green box so many times.

Every now & then, I do let him out if only for the comedic value he sometimes brings.

Sellmethispen, the last few days have followed the same pattern.

Knock down the SP in the morning attracting some into selling, before then increasing the SP in the afternoon.

Classic case of MM’s need shares to fulfill orders on the books.

Personally I’d love there to be a hostile takeover attempt.

Is it 30% of the shares in issue they would need ?

Imagine what would happen to the SP if someone was trying to go down that route.

I’ve always said that it wouldn’t take too many buys to lift the SP, same as it didn’t take too many sells to decrease it. Works both ways.

So a hostile takeover, Bring it on !

I’m just happy for anyone here who is now feeling a lot more positive about GGP.

It’s about time we had a board like this, were folk are now witnessing their SIP’s, ISA’s and trading accounts turning Blue once again.

Hopefully this is the start of a sustained rise in all our portfolios.

It sure beats the hell out of battling the trolls 🧌 all the time, long may it continue 👍
