Culpepper which bit of SD speech did you miss, obviously the bit were he stated that if he wanted to scale things up, ie % ownership etc, then the three banks were prepared to scale up their loan facility to GGP.

That sentence just seemed to jump out at me for all the wrong reasons !

It must’ve been because I noticed their initials spell out PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and I think a few on this board are maybe suffering a bit from it after witnessing what they have these past 33 months.

We just closed on an UT @ 9.2p, that’s a complete joke.

Almost all day they’ve been paying 9.45p for upto 400,000 shares, and 9.31p for upto 5,000,000 shares, so where on earth have those aftermarket sells at 9.2p come from.

It’s f-kin winds me up just how these charlatans get away with it.

I know we have an unregulated market here, but come on.

We also have a body out there to protect investors (FCA).

Something needs to be done about the blatant misrepresentation that goes on in front of our noses.

I see the SP is holding it’s gain’s over the last couple of weeks quite nicely.

Even though the MM’s are noticeably trying to keep a lid on it with their false reporting of buys v sales (nothing new there) they are still trying to buy as many shares off us as we are prepared to sell.

Again as has been the case for the last few days, they are prepared to purchase 5M in one hit from us. The last time we saw that must’ve been at least over 12 months ago.

For me, as I think with most LTH’s, it’s just a matter of wait & see.

We’ve waited through the turbulent times of the last three years, another 18 months until production will be like a walk in the park, smelling the fruits of our Labour coming into blossom.

Some here still want to discuss everything they see & hear to within an inch of its life. For me, I’m very comfortable in letting the BOD’s carry on as is.

Whatever will be, will be, and whichever path we end up taking, I’m sure we’ll all come out of this smelling of roses.

I use ii, and they will only give you a quote if they are willing to execute it. I find it a very useful tool to gauge what’s happening in the background.

I believe other platforms will give you a quote whether they execute the trade or not, so imo, that’s not worth giving the time of day to.

Sellmethispen, you have been able to sell upto 5 million shares right up until the bell today.

So my personal view is that the buyer is still lurking about in the shadows, but not wanting to pay 10p.

These are LSE(London Stock Exchange) rules.

When it talks about non-uk issuers, it means anyone that doesn’t either reside in the uk or isn’t a uk company.

Newmont are a US company which gives them certain advantages like any non dom.

A shareholder will be obliged to make a disclosure if their interest reaches, exceeds or falls below one of the thresholds because of a change in the total number of voting rights in issue (as notified by the company at the end of each month), or because of a change resulting from its own acquisition or disposal of voting rights. Interests in voting rights arising from shares or financial instruments must be aggregated for the purpose of calculating the relevant percentage.

Treasury shares held by the issuer are disregarded when calculating the percentage of voting rights held by a shareholder (DTR 5.8.8). This is because an issuer may not exercise the voting rights of the treasury shares and so they should be deducted from the total voting rights and issued capital figure used in the calculation.

The thresholds for disclosure for UK issuers are 3% and every percentage point thereafter. These thresholds are equivalent to the old s. 198 regime but cannot be imposed on non-UK issuers, to which only the EU Directive requirements apply.

Therefore, in the case of non-UK issuers the thresholds are 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 50 and 75%.

Culpepper, with Newmont being a foreign entity, they would only need to declare a TR1 once they had breached a 5% holding, and each 5% there on after.

The 3% notification is for UK entities, but like I pointed out a couple of weeks ago, to get anywhere near obtaining the shares needed for say a takeover, the SP would have to climb some for PI’s to capitulate in those sort of numbers.

I disagree, just like yesterday folk are getting offered a price to take upto 5million shares in one hit from them.

Now why is that ?

Because they have someone willing and able to take them off their hands, and it looks like they’re trying to accumulate at a price under 10p.

Again today it’s the same story, that’s why we are now seeing delayed trades going through at COB and even some being delayed by a couple of days, go figure.

Quitefrankly, the easiest way to be “spared the endless diatribe of non sensical wittering of so called GGP holders”, is to quite frankly stop looking in and stop reading. Maybe give it a try.

Of course nobody knows what’s going to happen, even SD can’t say for certain. But it doesn’t stop folk discussing what might happen within the parameters of the information we do have.

Personally from the different catalyst that we have seen in the last two/three weeks, from interviews being released by Archer & Durrett, the RNS by STARVEST, imo, is the most likely reason we have seen a 40% rise in our SP.

I have no other explanation as to why that should be, but certainly the theory of shorts closing is the one that makes most sense.

As is usual though, we will probably never get to know.

Whatever the real reason is, personally I don’t care, it’s just nice to see us on the up for a change & long may it continue.
