As far as a TR1 notification goes, unless one specific institution bought 50% of the shares from Newmont, which we know didn’t happen because we were all told only 10-20% were allocated to each applicant, and as an overseas investor, AIM rules state that you don’t need to fill in a TR1 form until you cross the 5% of shares in issue threshold, which would have meant that someone would have had to accumulate circa 34 million shares, which of course didn’t happen.

Hope you trust the information without the need for me travelling through all the documentation, as somebody else required.

Victorocto, I did say “in my opinion” at the very start of my post, but seeing the institutions who tried to purchase shares as part of the 66 million share bookbuild, were only allocated between 10-20% of what they had asked for, then I think there’s more than a reasonable chance that they would like to purchase more.

Hopefully that clears that up !

Imo I think this will carry on for at least the next 3-6 months.

Why do I think that you might ask !

1 - The institutions will have definitely put in large orders with brokers at an agreed price so as to not spike the SP.

2 - The funds that we are told are mandated to purchase ASX-100/200/300 companies, if I’m not mistaken, won’t have to start purchasing until GGP are officially listed as part of those indexes, which should be in September.

So I don’t think we will see massive jumps in our SP like we did when Van Eck originally purchased back in 2020. But I can see a slow and steady climb week in, week out, until they have got a large proportion of our shares.

If you want to see a sudden uplift in the SP, then you need only do one thing, DONT SELL ANY !

Lee1235, Wyloo didn’t purchase the 66M shares that Newmont decided to sell. They were released so as to provide institutional investors from Australia, New Zealand plus a certain number of Pi’s through brokers.

Wyloo however do have an agreement in place to purchase the other 10% (66M share) at 7.4pps.

MArtinCole, of which all but 50 million Aussie dollars worth, were actually passed over from Newmont to Institutional investors, without any coffers going to GGP.

Oh and Plode, just to set the record straight, we are currently at 16.3p in old money, exactly the same position we were in as we went into suspension last Thursday.

I’d say that’s a win for us, seeing you and your mates said it was gonna tank.

Just where are the Aussies going to get their hands on the amount of shares that are going to be required to fulfill all these mandatory funds ?

Yes Newmont still have 66M shares (10% of shares in issue) but they’re going to end up in Wyloo’s back pocket, so the only place these shares can come from is from our pool here on AIM.

What was the famous quote by Buffet ? Something about transference of wealth from the impatient to the patient. So are the Aussies going to be more patient than us, time will tell. But unless Paul Daniells suddenly makes an appearance and magically produces some shares, where else are the Aussies gonna get em ?
