Talk about the tail wagging the dog. If ever there was an example of it, you’ve all just witnessed it !
After a complete overreaction on slashing over 20% off the SP down under, what does AIM MM’s do, yes tow the line and shake out any weak holders here, and a lot of you succumbed to their games. More fool you is what I say.
Another prime example of the impatient handing over their money to the patient, and the sooner you fellas recognise it the better.
The MM’s and brokers must’ve been rubbing their hands yesterday with the amount of transactions going through, and I can imagine some of em sat there last night, sipping on a glass of malt and puffing on a fat cigar congratulating one another on such a successful day.
But what feck’s me off is that a lot of you aided and abetted in it, by doing exactly as they wanted you to do.
You’ve been played like a fiddle, instead of just sitting tight. If you hadn’t have all continued to sell throughout yesterday, then they couldn’t have dropped the SP to the extent they did.
Who’s the loser’s in this game, certainly not them, they had a terrific day.
You can bet your bottom dollar that at least half of those shares you sold yesterday ended up in Aussie hands.
Why did you sell ? Just because a MM told you your shares were now only worth 22% less than the day before !
I don’t see you putting your houses up for sale each time the valuation goes down, so why do it on a very good investment as GGP is ?
Patience is a virtue they say, I say it’s blumming common sense is what it is, and yesterday was like the first day of the Xmas sales, with goods being sold for less than the day before.
I do shake my head at times in how fickle people can be. It reminds me of a historical hunting practice whereby Bison were driven over the edge of cliffs, leading to their deaths. This technique, called a "buffalo jump," was used by Native Americans as a way to hunt large numbers of bison. The animals' tendency to follow the herd, combined with the natural terrain of a cliff, made this a tragically effective hunting method.
Sounds to me exactly what happened yesterday, except this time they were hunting for shares.
History repeats itself time and time again, but nobody seems to learn !
