Who’s going to blink first I wonder.
Looks like we are at an impasse @ 13p. MM’s seem very reluctant to trade it either way from this point.
I have stated on many occasions that I couldn’t see myself buying anymore, but after trying to take us back into the 12’s last week, I thought “what the heck” and placed an order @ 12.85 for £40k and did the same again today, using this year’s allowance between two ISA’s.
Now that got me thinking, how many others have done the same, set a price to buy at the year low ?
It’s funny how even though those orders are pending, the powers that be fail to tip the scales that low.
Is it because as we have been suspecting for ages that genuine sellers are like unicorns and that most of the selling is being done between two parties.
The chuckle brothers spring to mind (To me, To you) thus trying to make us all think that folk are off loading, just another tactic that they have at their disposal.
The fact that I’m probably not alone in setting a buy order so low, means that if I’m right, then they dare not drop it lower as then they will be competing in getting hold of shares with the ones they ultimately want to sell up.
If I’m wrong then I’ll just be adding more shares to my already large pot.
At some point, the ones who are short will turn tack and go long. once they have accumulated the number of shares they want. Once they have what they want, they will have to buy back the millions of shares they currently have out on loan, and that is when you will see the SP recover exponentially.
