Rosso, if your of a certain age you could tell years back that it would all end up in tears.
Folk living off cheap money for three decades have come accustomed to living way beyond what our parents and their parents before them, could ever imagine.
Nice house, his & hers cars, Latest Tech, holidays abroad each year, dining out every week etc etc, the list goes on.
These are things taken as a given by most of the younger generation (my kids no exception), but go back to the 80’s when mortgage interest rates were well into double digits, that’s when you realised just how important it was to save, and only buy the things you really needed, once you had enough to pay for it.
It was called cutting your cloth accordingly.
If folk want to keep all the services provided, such as more Police, firemen, nurses, a better NHS etc, then someone has to pay for it.
We can’t keep kicking the can down the road, borrowing more & more money, thus passing the debt onto future generations.
The simple thing is, we all have to learn to live within our means, we can’t just take, take, take, without giving something back.
Unfortunately the money trees have all been picked to within an inch of their lives.
The problem is most folk don’t look at the wider picture, they just keep going with their heads down, and only start looking to what’s happened once the piggy bank gets emptied.
Anyone that’s been on this particular BB over the last three years can’t say they weren’t warned.
Many many discussions regarding money printing, Furlough payments, YouTube video predictions etc etc.
Tough times ahead I’m afraid.
Anyway rant over, and let’s hope and pray that what we have invested into, comes good for all of us and ease’s the burden we all face.
