There's a gas export manifold for fionhaven 28kms away . Could a big oiler could buy up the field and FFD it after due diligence on the reserves?
What now then Marris??
Looking to Lancaster's future, we have expended considerable effort and some funds into maintaining the ability to deliver a new well in the Lancaster Field, termed P8, in order to meet our "maximum economic recovery" obligations to the UK Government. Given our emissions challenges, we have worked closely with the UK's offshore regulator, the North Sea Transition Authority ("NSTA"), to plot a way forward for Lancaster. It is disappointing that despite the enormous efforts of our team, and extensive interactions over many months, the NSTA is unable to provide comfort to the Company with regard to the likelihood of it being granted the necessary consents related to flaring for Hurricane to make further commitments to investment in Lancaster.
@danf if someone thinks its worth buying its worth a Hold .. LOL
@morbox i'm in the same position . Its getting to a point now where i'm considering move my core "SAFER" stuff CTY GRID GORE into these oversold , Its painful to see these good companied dragged down but i wont be selling my portfolio based on sentiment, I'll sell when i feel they are at true value. My current only regret is RR. and I'm considering selling at a loss, I bought for nuclear but it looks like that ship has sailed . The rest I'll keep warm wrapped in blankets in my bottom drawer.
@morbox
That's EXACTLY what happens !. Long game . You may not sell the peaks and buy the troughs but the BIG money is buying now, or is just about to... then it all starts again ..
I seem to remember Buffet buying Gas/oil Mid pandemic when it was close to junk. was he lucky or did he (his like ) create the environment for his bets to pay off. ?? Occidental 2021 Dominion 2020

@gravenhurst so your doom laden story was actually a non story and totally made up? do you work for the BBC? And the real story is that the RTN senior management are doing a good job

@gravenhurst ... I must have missed that RNS ? can you post it for the benefit of the chat?
@pmehta
"People want "stuff" and there's not enough of it". Utilities and products . whether it be roof tiles , rotisseries or rhubarb _ price rises will continue as long as people are still buying "stuff" My 72 year old mother in law was looking at a new Porsche Macan over the weekend, she has extra savings from "lockdown handcuffs"- there is a waiting list
"Inflation causing govt to take steps to borrow money to pay for their gas and electricity bills…" wholesale GAS and electricity are BELOW the October CAP https://tradingeconomics.com/commodities . Its costing the gov nothing.
As for strikes.. ridiculous militant bandwagon greed makes this situation worse. The private sector never sees such action.
*Turn off the news* _ and have a Ramen. You'll need to queue for that too btw! :-)

7 mill Tax on 8 mill profit? Kwarteng hasn't waved his magic wand just yet... and Corbyn got in! Hopefully good business strategy and sound accounting can reduce the TAX in future
Seems high with Corp rates at 20% ?
Great Figures from this micro cap . If this is missed by the Market ill be topping up later today.
23Million Market Cap,
8.2 Million Profit
You wont see figures like that very often
Agree, of little benefit to RTN . I don't agree with price fixing as a market intervention, it creates a fake trading environment and allows weak business to survive and create further debt pressure. The real efforts should be focused on fixing the UK "market", decoupling from imports and world energy markets.
Efficiency and Self sufficiency
Sorry Carpking some people like to spout opinions as facts . Any HUR Chat?
