It's very clearly apparent The Times has some vested interest to spread FUD agaisnt THG. Time and time again they have spun negative articles, and never have a good word to say. They are definitely on the books of some hedgies, who will be getting more and more nervous by the day!

As you will be able to see 99% of all articles with regards to WPP are unsuprisngly positive lol you either on their good side or bad side. Definitely doesnt seem impartial and independent to me lol

Seems like for some reason they have something very personal against THG. And also notice conveniently the reporter is always different!

Yep as already said, shows the value of Ingenuity, and THG platform is already Global. And for Ingenuity, they tell is its worth nothing hahaha(face palm emoji) lol

Keep and saying 'buy out theft' clearly in play!!!!

Like Ted Baker, after receiving so many approaches from multiple parties, and rumours of more to come, would THG put itself up for a Formal Sale Process??

Simply because share price is not the company, and the unique share structure!

Try buying THG for even £2-3 (as they have already tried we have been told) it's never going to happen, because the BOD and Institutions holding 80-90%+ are in full control and they will rebuff straight away. PI's as a tiny %, has no say.

MM holds 25%, he just has to call up some of the big holders, and all they have to say is NO, and it's done!

Yes for most other companies I agree with you, it maybe considered, but definitely not here!

With the unique structure of THG, maybe 90%+ owned by BOD and Institutions, PE firms cannot simply rock up and buy it on the cheap. As seen by the multiple rejections, they will never agree.

Unlike most predatory takeovers, power is with THG as there is little free float with a very small % in public hands. MM is in full control.

If a respectable BID comes, it will have to be considered, and we will all know. Seems like a waiting game. Soundslike they are anticipating improved offers and counter bids from others like Carlyle Group.

But yes precisely my thinking, they said 'keep heads down and see what next days/weeks bring' they fully expect offers closer to what they would deem reasonable, and present to shareholders. Hence absolutely nothing on the strategy, as whats the point at this stage!

Hosai, I have listened to that part a few times. As I have said before, I Just get the feeling something is definitely cooking! Maybe take it private, hence absolutely nothing on the strategic front!

Without doubt the PE firms are going to return with improved bids, now knowing what ‘ballpark’ the BOD are looking for. Only thing IF it gets sold which we are lucky to have, looks like there are multiple parties which should drive up the price! Not saying if this is the right thing or not for THG and investors.

Also with the multiple rejection of proposals, the word is now certainly out within the PE circles, what it would take for MM to even consider! Word gets around.

And clearly more than one PE firm wants there hands on THG, so looks like a scrap to see who will get there hands on it. Currently at just 20% of IPO value. I bet they can't believe there eyes.

One thing we certainly know, it will take a significant premium, and they cant take it on the cheap.

Either way this is primed to rocket!

From day one iv though 'buy out theft', with low free float, high institution hold, hence easy to manipulate, and now with multiple PE bids, it certainly looks that way!

MM has to deliver something BIG very soon, to drive the share price higher, and stop these PE firms circling (they must all be in a dizzy trance buy now)

Someone has snapped up 3-4 million shares there in minutes!

Well we know we have Coca Cola, Nestle and Mondelez.

I'm sure the 2 recently signed up will be revealed in good time!

Simple analogy (common sense):

Someone offered 250k for my house in 2018

Since then though:

- I have bought atleast a dozen other houses in my neighbourhood

- fully renovated and extended my house

- repaved all the local roads

- new fibre broadband in all the houses

- latest solar panels and heating systems

- all houses installed with the latest electronic systems.

Etc etc

Now you cant come back 4 years later and say can I buy it for £250k ;) hahahahahaha

But your theory makes total sense. Hence when asked about the separation, they didn't confirm what will happen, they said it will give us 'optionality'! Hence when all divisions are fully separated, they can choose to do whatever they like, they all become individual stand alone businesses, as you say they can then be valued on their own merit.

(IMHO I think MM has already decided exactly what he is going to do, as he seems super confident)

Multiple PE firms want THG. It's a matter of time. There is a price for everyone. MM and the BOD will have said you are nowhere near fair value, but if you get anywhere near X Billion, we can talk..
