Put it this way, most who recently bought in hearing of multiple PE bids rejected, will have already been washed out, they have moved onto the next thing to make a 'quick' buck!

Only LTH's stay, they have done indepth research. Improved offers from PE may come over the coming weeks, but most have zero patience this!

One thing I have learnt over the years is you believe in your conviction and sit back, remember why you invested, nothing has changed, investing is a game of psychology, making you believe something it isnt for them to make money!

(Interesting story, bought shares in a North Sea oil company many years ago - Rockrose Energy, it was a screaming buy at £5, market makers dropped it to £4ish for a few weeks, and I sold up, no patience! Few months later it got bought out for £18.30 a share, if ever there was a lesson learnt!!!)

Molokai - totally agree. Answer is patient investors are very hard to come by, mainly all traders, and markets know this, I bet they have never made money so easy.

Back in the day, you genuinely bought through research/conviction, and stuck with it, week to week you wouldn't even know what the price would be! Most people want a 'quick return' nowadays, and market plays with those emotions, and washes them out!

Takeover of Boots by Private Equity and now one of the richest men in the World - Mukesh Ambani, if fully being played out in the media, with everyone knowing who they are and what amounts are involved!!

I think the difference is, Boots have put themselves up for sale, however for THG right now it's hostile takeover!
