HB genuinely how can your price prediction go from 17p to 38p?

That is quite some difference and surely is based on fundamentals that only you can see.....the market has defied you for over a year now.

A close above 47.2 would be ok this week.... then next week finishing above 48p - a penny per week is a good steady pace into results.

Typical Friday - city boy traders made their bread and butter for the week buy low 46s and exiting mid 47s or the weekend...

I nearly sold on open for a quick trade but never.

Expect this to creep up a bit through the day....

Very difficult currently for short term guesses on LLOYDS currently and mine wont count but id say we are looking at 47.7 close tomorrow.

A long term view is needed though with bank shares.

When LLOYDS does hit 55p I will probably exit my spread bets and go short for a gamble at a pull back.

Worth a read...especially for aim trading.

Every share has an "nms" or normal market size - trades within nms are guaranteed at the current buy/sell....if you go out of nms the buy can be higher and the sell can be lower. I doubt LLOYDS has an nms of 30k shares though.

LLOYDS second volume leader today with approx 151 million share traded.

Faulkes a 500k buy on LLOYDS is nothing - this is the city boys bread and butter hence shares always available.

RBS and BARC holding better than LLOYDS due to the fact they are not so heavily traded but we could catch them up very very fast or they will fall back in line with us.

I'm not expecting any dramatic movements tomorrow in either direction - the ship seems to be getting reading for a journey into the 50s though.

Monday will be interesting!!

Hello, I was a small holder here - I work in the city and have contacts with several journalists and there are rumblings that the FT will be running a story on the administrators this coming Monday - Allegedly shareholders are preparing to remove FRP as administrator due to concerns over their conduct.

faulky I trade the same way and I will happily close a loss if i feel the market is twitchy - IG also do a lot of hospitality if you use them enough which is nice.

Spread betting isn't dangerous - leverage and ego are though!! you can spreadbet very safely by using the leverage level that would equate to your usual risk level per stock - I use IG and they are great with their premium service giving a personal account manager that will stay in touch and send you information for every stock you hold including rns,s etc. Also no stamp duty or capital gains tax!!

Dividend chaser your theory on the DOW vs LLOYDS is hilarious - please check where the DOW was last time LLOYDS was 80p.... about 15000 so based on your theory LLOYDS has a current ceiling of 190p!

Brown I think most genuine holders expect 55 to 60p this year which is very achievable..... then further improvement's in the following year or two.

Nobody knows what is around the corner but all signs point to a huge economy recovery unless of course you listen to the armchair ex country leaders on these chats, they can barely balance a current account let alone a country!

And livestock is correct - there is an employment issue in the there to many jobs and not enough people!

200p is lunacy right now but 55p this year is perfectly achievable.

Nothing holding the shareprice up except a fundamentally strong business with a record cash pile about to be shared out.... its funny watching these chats when posters are so strong minded that after a year of being wrong they still post the same thing... imagine if you bought last year instead of posting negativity.

lti absolutely nothing but the DOW does impact the FTSE and UK market regardless.... it tends to impact more on the negative side than positive.

I see your point but from what I am seeing commercial property owners will be the ones with a problem, my partner works for one of the large banks within the investment dept and to work from home was always a big no no until covid - there are 2 buildings that the bank leased and filled with staff for 20 years.... they now have 80 percent of those staff working from home and decreased their floor space in those buildings 3 quarters. Businesses are adapting and cutting costs changing the way they operate to fit the current climate.

I dont believe all the travel companies will make it though - definitely some casualties to come from that industry.

Banks I believe will flourish.

Faulky fall back cash based on what? if you are expecting there to be mortgage defaults on properties with negative equity then you will be waiting a very long time.... its not going to happen.
