LLOYDS still seems to have huge support at 46.5p - imo its in a holding pattern and consolidating with plenty of buyers and sellers in the 47p range.

When we hit 50p recently it seems the market was tad excited a little bit to soon what with the restrictions extension etc

Plenty of news due to warrant a rise above 50p though so a bit of patience required.

Hardup...FTSE up 0.5 lloyds up 1pc.... (so far)

Lti mine are done via spread bets which have been a "core" position of 5 to 10k per point opening and closing multiple positions along side so they are "banked profits"

I have missed some very big lumps of profit along the way also - one of them being when Boris did the 3 week xmas lock down....I expected a fall but there was whopping rise !

Cant win them all.

Your major trend has been negative for a year

The major trend for LLOYDS has been up for a year

LLOYDS is in whats known as a major uptrend DC. There is a very short term pullback in action but there have been many of these in the last year or so. Nothing goes up in a straight line.

We have divi news due, results due, end of restrictions due so plenty to look forward to.

You could always open a short and rave about profits rather than moaning about nothing...

Dc I was just thinking how all your negative posts seem to be followed by a lovely big rise - then I remembered all your posts are negative so from 24p all the way to 50p your posts are followed by a rise. Strange posting for a holder of LLOYDS.

All the while people have been making money while you post negative - I know I've netted over 200k profit from my IG account in that time on LLOYDS alone.

FYI just booked holiday with british airways - Holidays currently selling very well according to number of passengers on flights - another tick for the economy.

Hardup seriously are you new to investing?

Banks in general will rise or fall 2 - 3 fold what the FTSE does in a trading session.

Since the pandemic lows the FTSE has risen 36 percent while LLOYDS has risen 100 percent.

When the pandemic hit the FTSE fell 30 percent while LLOYDS fell 60 percent.

It seems there are a few posters absolutely pig sick that they missed the lows last year and they are now praying for a huge pull back, sadly it is not going to happen - Even if there was another worldwide catastrophe and world markets collapsed they would just do the same as last year - nothing apart from watch! They are stock market voyeur's - nothing more.

It is as though some posters live in a different world tbh - EVERYTHING is now going in the right direction economy wise including house prices and car prices etc etc but they just refuse to see it and also try to convince others of this weird world they live in.

Yes the share price has fell back 6pc in a month but it is still up over 26 percent for the last 6 months (93 percent from the low) - this is the reality of investing and if this does suit you just give up as the market will never change.

Forget the short term noise and now focus on xmas 2021 for a 55p share price.

For the last year the share price has defied the naysayer's and it will continue to do so, Just sit back and smile knowing this while looking at your profit!

Hardup don't waste your time honestly - Covid has had a huge impact on the way banks run and they are changing massively for the better.

As for Royal mail I know one of their head accountants - not friends but I know them. There problem they had was integrating the parcel delivery system into their current systems to compete with all the small couriers that were springing up with "off the shelf" systems - it cost them an absolute fortune in time and money. He actually said it would have been cheaper to start from scratch but it would have ruined their business. Now look at them 100p to 500p plus!! Great turn around!

Snige, government can control case numbers up or down as and when they want.... if they want numbers to drop they stop testing or decrease testing.

If they stopped testing tomorrow and stopped reporting on the news then Covid is history from that point.

As for the vaccine people need to live and let live - my partner had the vaccine and I haven't - we both made our own choice and we accept each others reasons. That said I may have it at a later date if I feel its worth it.

And as for LLOYDS its now in a holding pattern while restrictions continue and obviously awaiting divi news.

FRP in the spot light again for not doing a thorough investigation with the administration of Koovs.

Financial times article detailing legal action being taken by shareholders using "red mist" aka Mr Seth Freedman - He singlehandedly exposed the gas price fixing fraud and works on behalf of billionaires and oligarchs in legal cases which he always wins. He even took on RBS and won.

Something tells me this will not end well for FRP.

Yes it seems they believe the data when it suits their agenda but then disregard or say its wrong when it doesn't fit.

Would surprise me if one day they say the LLOYDS share price is lie lol.

Halimora - sadly your friend has no value in those shares as they were part of the old company.

FRP advisory was itself taken into administration and then the assets were purchased by the Directors inc Mr Goff Rowley - they then brought the company back to the market and re floated the company.

An administrator going into administration itself is some kind of irony hey!?

In a nutshell old investors were wiped out and the board of directors that ran the company into administration picked up the assets for a pittance and then took money off new investors via the stock market for the new company and these are the shares that are currently traded.

Beggars belief how this kind of thing happens.

I hope your friend gets over this loss.
