All of the work done on NXP002 and NXP004 over the past year would always have been outsourced, it’s not work NFX has the in house skill to do. So why keep a lab operating?

They appointed Dan in lieu of a BDD and there are scenarios around that which negate the need for a CEO.

Personally don't think NFX will be talking NXP004 until further research and patent has been granted. Its all about NXP002 at the moment.

Interesting (if you can't sleep) paper on the search for NLRP3 inhibitors to treat fibrosis.

The key take out being Tranilast is a key drug that is effecting against fibrosis, whereas others are only effective against specific types or variations.

Also that the paper labels it as FDA approved. Which I wasn't sure of, although the author is an Associate Professor in Microbiology and Immunology specialising in Fibrosis, so likely to know more than me.

The £1m UKRI grant was £361k to NFX and £634k to Vectura, with the project led by Vectura.

NFX were paid for this work by Vectura alongside the grant monies.

If you're going to try and sound well researched, at least make an effort to do the research. You'd find that the grant they got for work on tranilast was £43k in 2015 for proof of concept.

And since we are talking about hard facts (a subject I know you like), can you tell me which of those deals involved a preclinical stage drug that had been tested on real human IPF ling tissue?

Is that none of them I hear you say? Oh yes, meanwhile little old NFX has data from testing NXP002 on human lung tissue both as a standalone treatment and in combination with standard of care. And in all circumstances it outperforms the market lead.

Also, why did AbbVie pay $100m to Morphic when they hadn't any data at preclinical for their IPF treatment.

Or Puretech guaranteeing $84m to Teva for their pre-clinical stage IPF.
