Not really, the share price indicate the price someone is willing to pay, which fluctuates on peoples variables such as timings, need for cash, willingness to invest or not, fear of missing out… etc etc.
Also encouraging that DG once again used the description of 'near term' for NXP002 update. The recent half years said 004 data would be coming out 'near term' and it has, so hopeful for 002 within January. (Doubtful before Xmas)
Have to say I'm very pleased with todays news, for this stage of drug discovery this is the best possible results we can get. Furthermore is the fact that they are reporting both cocrystals outperformed, not just v2.0 as discussed in the Q&A session.
I acknowledge that its dispiriting seeing the news sold into, no doubt by Lanstead, but that cannot cover over this news and the sooner they sell up the better.
'Enhancement of dissolution in the currently marketed formulation of Lynparza® resulted in improved bioavailability versus the initial marketed product. Therefore, the NXP004 programme may offer potential to further increase olaparib bioavailability. In addition, the potential simplicity of NXP004-based formulations may offer improvements in product cost-of-goods versus the currently marketed product, which requires complex manufacturing methods.'
Improved performance and cheaper production cost. What's not to like?
The Company is pleased to announce that the results from these studies demonstrate that the two lead NXP004 cocrystals selected out-perform Lynparza (R), both in terms of rate and extent of dissolution and release of olaparib.
Ps. This is why I don’t think the rumoured Kissei deal was ever real. It was far too early in the process. It was pushed by some ex board member who was wanting to exit and indeed did in the subsequent weeks.
For me it’s not about ‘marketing’ more about business development. Nothing NFX does is for direct sales to public market, hence why I’ve never been bothered about websites and marketing etc. It’s all about business contacts and developing those relationships.
