As you say, understanding the principle is key, then its more about having a detailed understanding of how the company plan to turn move the product and business forward.

Chab, thats quite true, it was quite an extreme example to be fair.

My point really is that for me with pharma, I'm never going to understand exactly how a cocrystal works and at the end of the day I don't need to know.
I'm only interested in the fact that it does work.

I haven't a clue how ibuprofen works, does that mean I shouldn't invest in a company that makes it?

Wouldn't get too worried about the ins and outs of how cocrystals work, the only thing that matters is the success of the products that NFX are developing.

FX, we all deal with the stress of being in the red here differently. Kane is doing the classic deflection tactic to try and not think of what might be happening as it doesn't suit his confirmation bias.
Although back in may he did email the company asking when the 001 deal would be signed and whether the company would be doing any investor events. Which they said they would but have gone quiet since.

FX, its just an assumption, but we know they have been actively working with NFX over the past year to reformulate NXP001, at some point they will take it on without the need for consultation with NFX.

Kane, remember the other week you were wanting to speculate on the sell price for the company, you offered up 15p and said it was undervalued at that price, but offered no justification. Was that any different in principle?

Etot, certainly could be the case. I have nothing other than share data to go by. But weakness such as yesterday highlights the problem. Many are very happy to sell at any sign of strength.

FX, Oxilio signing up doesn't need a CEO for NFX going forward. They have licensed the patent and will do the work themselves, NFX aren't involved now.

A low ball take over would be disastrous for shareholders, so I'm not saying it with any level of happiness. But its certainly a risk now with soon to be no CEO. After all if the data is good from 002 and 004, who decides what to do next? Who negotiates with a potential licencee? Everyone else is non-exec.

If Ox (or anyone else) wanted it cheap, now is the time.

FX, looking back, as you say last years revenues were all in H1. In this period the company only made two announcements referring to revenue, one being the payment from Oxilio on agreeing the option in September, the other being from a patent submission for Ebers made in April 2020.
So whilst its just a guess I was working on the assumption that £195,550 revenues between the two payments, 100k for one and 95k for the other.

Welcome Etot, over 110% of the companies share volume has churned in the past 5 months for a price equivalent to 10-12m. There are no sticky hands here, just traders. Plus there are no board members or large holders (10%+)

If I were Oxilio (and had a secret backer), I'd be insistent on no disclosure of figures so as not to inflate the NFX sp, then I'd push to take out NFX before any data results for NXP002. Could easily get it for £10m.

Then take it private as Yaxley likes to do. Then benefit from outlicencing 002 and positive news on 004.

FX, there was one payment last September of around 100k. Then Oxilio were not due to pay until they fully sign up (yesterday).
As you say it will appear in the revenues column, and since we won't have had any other revenues this half, the December returns will show us the exact figure.

Although the caveat is that the announcement says that NFX are 'eligible' for an upfront payment.

One minor plus point from the Ox deal being announced yesterday is that the upfront figure should be included in the half yearly results in December. Previously they have made announcements after the cut off to be included and we have to wait for 9 months or so to find out.

I bet the guy who has £250k invested in Oxilio knows the details of the deal.
