Shal, We had two months of FLRAA “news” with numerous duplicated snippets of news with the ridiculous £1, £1.50 per share by Christmas. Stop filling up the board with items a five year old can find within a two minute search on the web. A true investor will easily find these items, definitely no candles, or cup and handles though. We don’t need second/third hand news to be regurgitated time after time, gets boring.

Tommy, these articles are widely available in newspapers, on the internet, etc, easily obtained news for investors if they do their research. In fact the only place you won’t find these snippets, on the RR media page, or on an RNS, they didn’t even RNS the FLRAA contract, why cos it’s not news, it’s just day to day business, and the FLRAA won’t generate any money for at least 3-4 years.

Why do people continue to post hypertext messages on here with stupid headlines, guess what everyone, it’s what RR do, they tender for a contract, get the contract and build engines, it’s their job.
Oh yeah, headline news Lloyds sold 200 mortgages yesterday whoop whoop.

PSK, I think they just need a country to buy one, then the rush will start, but at the moment nobody wants to be the first to do it. What is worrying me is that the government holds a golden share and are hesitant to offer a commitment, even favouring EDF, how does that look to other countries that want to invest. Anyway that’s just my thoughts, we will see.

Totally agree, so between RR, EDF, GE & some of the Chinese SMR builders who do you think has the most funds to “persuade” the government that their toy is the best —- my money isn’t on RR.

Marble, but not necessarily the ones RR are peddling. That’s why they went with EDF at sizewell, maybe, a tried and tested company.

Merseyside is in talks with South Korea to build a Tidal power station on the banks of the Mersey. It will have the potential to power a million homes.
I read yesterday that the government were also to resume talks to build onshore wind farms, perhaps these may be a couple of reasons why they haven’t made any significant announcement on SMR’s yet.

It reads like an old report with yesterdays date on it. It talks of RR’s impending sale of ITP, to pay down debt, this was obviously done in September, so the article is at least three months old.

PHYL, sorry if you think I am dissing LTH’s just trying to make a point that there is more than one way to play the markets. You come over a an educated chap so I’m sure if you decide to day trade you will be ok. Remember the two golden rules though, 1) only buy what you can afford to lose, and 2) DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. Energy prices will go down but not quick enough to influence the end of year results in February 2023.

PHYL, I too am a long term holder as stated in previous posts, but I also day trade, not only in RR, but also Parsley box ( bought at 3.5 pence on 18th nov sold at 6.1 pence yesterday ) as I said I would, for a healthy profit.
RR needs big news, SMR’s, FLRAA but the longer this news takes to come out the more concerned I am that they will not get what they are hoping for, just my opinion.
One last thing, if you look at companies that have announced their financial results, then everyone of them make the statement about rising energy prices hitting profits. As an example I think BT stated their energy costs have risen by £200 million in the last quarter, and most of their workforce are only in the office for a couple of days a week. RR must be using an enormous amount of electricity and gas in its factories.

Kay, I’ve got 20,000 tucked away in an ISA as a long term hold, 2025. But I’ve also been day trading it for the past four months ( look back at my past posts ). You are absolutely right that, for the moment this share is a day traders dream, pity the non gamblers ( hahaha ) can’t see this

Badland,Perhaps he’s just jealous of the people who either have the ba*ls to invest, or do their research and can spot a bargain and can make serious money doing so. He on the other hand alongside a few others I could mention, but won’t are tied up in this share that for now is static, ( if not losing money ). The only period this share is showing a profit on is 5 day trading, one day, one month, six month, one year trackers are all showing a loss. ALL shares are a gamble!
