''Yelemes Deep
A two-year appraisal license has been issued during which additions to state confirmed reserves on the basis of further drilling is permitted.
A requirement during the initial two year period to be eligible for the award of a full 25-year production license is that three further deep wells each with an expected maximum depth of 5,000 meters are drilled.''
Drilling 2 new wells to 5,000m over a 2 year period is going to be a struggle imo as these wells can each take up to 6-12 months to drill, they need to start drilling a new YD well now. It looks like we won't see Reserves booked on YD for at least another 2+ years to boot?
''Airshagyl
A three-year appraisal license has been issued during which the Group must submit credible plans to develop the Airshagyl structure and during which additions to state confirmed reserves on the basis of additional drilling is permitted.
A requirement under the 25-year full production license expected to be issued during the initial three-year period is for a minimum of two further deep wells on the Airshagyl structure to be drilled after the full production license is issued.''
Next year they are going to have to have started drilling the first of two wells on Airshagyl if they want to complete the well in time, at what depth - a 4,500m? TD could give them some leeway time wise? They say they can drill four deep wells simultaneously, which will take up all their rigs (can the G20 rig drill to 4,500m/ 5000m?) - the G70 rig remains out of contract. The above means they will have to leave further drilling on WS/ B8 until the YD/ Airshagyl well commitments have completed if push comes to shove, they have to drill these five extra wells or say goodbye to the 25 year BNG licenses.
They could drill a sidetrack on both the A5/ A6 Deep Wells within 12 months and complete the A7 Deep Well within another 6 months, so a year and a half using one rig, but that only gives them 6 months to drill 2 new deep wells? I think they will only be able to sidetrack one well and kick the other two wells down the road. IF they ex-owners of B8 have rigs they could be paid to drill/ test other wells freeing up CASP's rigs? Will they have time to drill another well on WS with limited rig availability. After the 803 Deep Well has completed testing the 60m oil column will they continue drilling to 4,500m below the salt layer or stop at the current 4,000m depth and start drilling the new 804-5-6 Deep Wells instead? Will a Specialist come onboard with their own rig to get the 802 Deep Well flowing unheeded? The well flowed up to 900 bopd from an open hole, that's $11m p.a. net profit, so perhaps a deal can be dome, especially with potentially higher flow rates? It's anyone's guess when we'll hear where the 803/ WS wells are at. The next well update imo will be regarding the P1 Deep Well sidetrack completing/ testing on Block 8 which can't be for off now. An update regarding one or two CE Charter updates is also due a
