If Liberty do bid it may be good for us but I am not sure they have the right people in charge of there all three media arm which takes care so to speak of there TV production arm .As they have just closed down one of there most profitable units in New York putting 50 long serving staff and the President of 15 years on the scrap heap.

Sounds like a lot of doom and gloom but with all the adverse comments we continually have with advertising woes . Has anybody noticed a lack of adverts coming on during programs on the Telly .
I don’t think I have when one drops out another seems to take its place .

Not such a bad idea , many moons ago when holidaying in the Canaries as was my habit at the time . I spent many days in the company of very beautiful European Ladies who all mostly spoke excellent English ,enquiring why this was so I was told that they had to so as to be able to watch English TV.

Yes I have financed both my daughters and Grand sons to use up surplus funds and am well over the 7 Year bracket now so if there is anything over the allowance left they will have to fork out a bit now as I have given up caring as I seem to be getting to the stage of not having to worry about money after being retired now for 25years . My main expense is playing golf and that will all be over after this year.

Or is it that will anybody have the money to buy in any case .?

Production company are closing down In NY. to move all there production there to LA and of course LA does not look very bright at the moment , a bad time for TV production in the states . I really can not see them making acquisitions now.

I would think that all the Leas-hold TW have dealt with has long gone by now this is only bringing in New Guide Lines .

We have great run companies as is TW. and Persimmon who are fair enough to not want any assistance from the Government and Tax Payer . On the other hand I have heard of one large business with a solvent business in New York employing Sixty staff and more , are closing it up putting the very hard working staff who have been with them for many many years and contributed to a very lucrative business , This is another side of the coin .

Could it not be that they have misjudged demand for the next couple of years thus seeing the sup-prize lift in demand this week have realised the need for even more land to feed there Land Bank as for as long as I have known TW they have always had a large amount of land on hand .
