Yes Disney as well as all three media and probably Discovery are having to slim down personally I know of two of the big names one a very successful President of one of there biggest units in New York had to close there departments down and releasing many staff . But they are very differently run to ITV . ALTHOUGH I am very surprised at Disney having problems so soon .

Libertys Television arm All Three seems to be getting run down now as the have just let there CEO go wether it is just slimming down due to the virous or not remains to be seen , but the company have just lost two of there most top executives for some reason or another .Time will tell .

Tom I cannot see an imminent takeover from the states as yet Liberty are having big problems at the moment having just had to shut what has been there most profitable unit in all three outing 60 long serving staff out of work not to mention one of there top production presidents . The management there seem to be going in the wrong direction completely.

One cannot avoid being very optimistic with ITV as it is at present .being the only share showing any sort of advancement in today’s showings .must be something turning up in the wind shortly.

Especially New York office which has lost one of its biggest production competitors Optomen New York who have produced some of the biggest programs in America . And has now been closed down and all it’s staff dismissed .

Maybe the good times are on the way back . Slowly slowly slowly catches the monkey .it will be great to have all the good guys back nice to have old voices from the past pop there head in the door to see how we are all doing . Yes they were the good old days when people new what they were talking about but then also the shares were always on the rise .

Yes and hopefully it will be sustained by the powers that be casting out the doubters and once again steering us in the right direction .Of course there will still be more mistakes made and corrected but we will get there in the end and tomorrow could be the start of a great recovery.

You are dead right there Nige Ihave a connection in New York Of The President of Optomen New York who is a brilliant T V Production leader and has been running a team of Sixty staff or more ,and has been managing to make a fair profit and keep every body in jobs for the last fifteen years . Even the last twelve months .running one of the best Tv cookery programmes in the states . Has now been closed down putting the whole staff out of jobs . They have been coldly and methoicly disposed of .
