Clown alert - For anybody joining us on this bb - Happy New Year !!! Please make a New Years resolution to yourself, to read all of the RNS’s released by Angus over the last few years and DYOR - its easier to spot the constant “March of the clowns” that regularly spout all sorts of figures & facts.... DYOR ! As always GL this year to all invested here or across the Weald. :0) S
Yep agree with the waste of money aspect, however PV did say before the year-end, so I think that possibly was behind things not slipping marginally into Q1. At keast he can say he delivered on time(ISH). :0( Plus I think he must have been receiving a gazzillion emails wanting an updating, hence appalling RNS, using the legendary Crayon, fagpacket & 2 bottles of whiskey method of communication. It will IMO quickly become forgotten, IF the flow is of a good number, consistent & profitable - We’ll see soon enough :0) S
Morning all. Please DYOR, our planning clearly states that we cannot open on Sundays or Bank holidays. Its not because of goodwill to neighbours, wacko management, conspiracy theories or alien abduction of oil workers, It was planning. Join me in a loooooong sigh Alan...?? ;0) S
Why? oh why? did PV spend shareholders money on a Christmas Tree..... !!! When there’s not going to be anybody there to see it. The needles will be all over the place when they get back & will no doubt cost thousands to vacuum up !! That’s nothing compared to the BAD luck they will unleash taking the tree down after the 12 days of Christmas ends !!!! No wonder the s.p tanked last week....Alan !!! With years of experience you should have warned us all, when you saw them put the tree up.......!!! Happy Christmas one & all !!! GL we’ll need it !!! ;0) S
Hi all, Just re read the planning permission for brockham -yawn - it says the following “ apart from the exception referred to above, there shall be NO working at anytime on Sundays, Bank holidays, Public or National holidays” pg 81/2 section 6 “ hours of operation”. It makes sense to me why they are shutting the site after saturday. Alan2017 will defo know more than me, but i suspect it is better to have a decent “ time window” of continuous working time, rather than “stop ‘n start”. Hope that clears up any conspiracy theories. You can read it on mycouncil.surreycc.gov.uk. GLA :0) S
Yanis, IMO they were probably bombarded by 1000’s of emails, so sent out a quick note !! Defo not gonna win the Nobel prize for literature, but its not a crisis. 2 sundays & 3 bank holidays in the shutdown fortnight.... thought there was something in thd planning abg that ??? damned if they do damned if they didn’t, share was drifting down a bit anyway - 1 tanker seen and off we’ll go again. Keep the faith ;0) S
Be very interesting if one tanker is seen leaving the site. As for perspective, according to PV 250bopd would make the company virually cash positive... Also the two weeks “off” does include 2 sundays & 3 bank holidays, no exactly a crisis. GLA
The rns wording reminds me of me mum on Christmas Day...... “IT’LL BE READY WHEN ITS READY”..... inundated with emails from the kids, PV announced “I’ve started, you can’t rush it, let me have sherry & watch the queen and it’ll be on the table when its ready...”. So basically “shut-up” and go and have a mince pie while your waiting.... ;0) S
Bonkers, this bb begging PV to announce, He has kept his promise and flow-tested before Christmas. All November/december thousands of comments, when the rns arrives - chambers your certifiable - If your not in it IMO my 11.30 topup was a bargain.... there you go... you missed it. Thankyou Santa Vonk.... one sniff of oil - which we know is there - and up it will go - quicker than a chambers de-ramp. No results till after Chrimbo, PV kept his promise, thats good enough for me. Enjoy the day... ;0)S
Long as its broad IMO If we’d had an rns stating what we already know, that they are working, we’d have wanted another one with flow rates, quality of oil, commerciality etc. So we’re as well ( no pun) to wait till they can release a full and accurate picture. We will not have waited any longer... just feels like a million years! Off to bo bo’s alarm mysteriously set for 6:59am ;0) S
In the words of the RNS of the 5th November. It appears we are “ initialising commercial production” of Brockham. Its not a “ drill & hope” scenario. IMO once its flowing, it becomes commercial. Indications from PV implied “roughly” £1m profit p.a per 100 barrels...so unless something unforseen or catastrophic happens, its WHEN not IF. It should lead to a self-funding profitable company. Panic not. Hold your shares. DYOR & only play with what you can afford to take losses on, then there is never panic.. GLA
Oh LJ, so the 1.1m at 13:04 could be good news??? & the 800k sell bad news??? So each sell= bad news & each purchase good news??? Or is it the otherway round LJ??? A sell is good news because some else is going to buy??? Which is good isn’t it....So a sell= good news .....Oh hell, you’ve got me at it now.... ;0) chillax.... wait for news. Then we’ll know which ways up & which ways down. Whilst your waiting.... first there was a chicken.... or was it the egg? Hope you getsome sleep..... maybe tomorrow???
Readlast week that a 2nd referendum will take 22weeks - article 50 implementation would have to be delayed to fit it in..... ?? IMO would not change anything48-52 52-48 it’d be tgatclose again.... best of 3 anybody??!!
You could cook a mighty turkey on that stack !!!! Christmas tree, roast dinner.... its all coming together nicely..... lets hope there’s a very big present under the tree !!!! Hopefully won’t be chocolate pennies for each of us.... please Santa Vonk !! Gl ;0) S
There won’t be a no deal. EU has UK exactly where it wants us. They have planned this from day-one, Poor deal no-one can accept, No courage & unity for WTO. So we are heading back in, won’t make us love europe anymore & has nothing to do with our woeful share-slide !!!
Hi Alan, really agree that cash is king & a year or two of building reserves would be my No1. But my hunch is that not all the weald players will be here in the medium term. Being able to “buy-in” to oil not yet in production could be one way forward. Let see what angus brings up - chickens and counting etc. Hears hoping..... to coin a christmas phrase” God bless us, every one!” :0) S
Hi al, Just a thought i’ve had for a while. There is a senario where angs goes into production, accumulates funds & buys other wealders, before their production licenses are issued. Its what I’d do....I think we may get results a the beginning of the post Christmas market break... Enjoy the ride ‘n Happy Christmas one an all :0) S
Great to see movement of equipment taking place. IMO it has been very important that the test happens in the time frame PV alluded to. The oil bopd number is obviously the main-show, but it cannot be underestimated how important credibility is, and will be in the future, for Angus. To steal Alan’s idea.... long sigh...... of relief if we make the deadline of Christmas !! ;0) S
