I agree
Thanks Alan
Perhaps the reason they weren't installed earlier is due to limited battery life of the associated data logger? Still don't know what they are measuring though?
That thought also crossed my mind.
I would have expected all critical gauges to be permanently installed so I'm not sure what these gauges are for.

"Lancaster Field – Subsea Gauge Deployment
Gauges are going to be deployed to the seabed near the Lancaster 6 and 7Z wells.
The gauges are being deployed near the two production wells within the Lancaster manifold 500m zone, the gauges will be
in baskets on the seabed. There will be one gauge in the vicinity of each well (2 gauges in total) and they will remain on the
seabed for up to 2 years. Deployment operations are expected to take up to 6 hours per gauge.
The earliest start date for operations to commence is 29th April, the vessel carrying out the deployment is not yet known.
The co-ordinates for the Lancaster manifold and the proposed gauge locations are listed below:
Vessels: Boka Atlantis- DSV, Seahorse- Rock Dumper 1, Rockpiper- Rock Dumper 2, Helix Seawell – Light Well Intervention
Guard vessel, vessel name to be confirmed.

I read the board but don't post much but i think wellwell makes some very good points and adds to the discussion. Sometimes challenges the general consensus of the board but that's a good thing. I want to hear all view points and think it would be a shame if contrarian views were stifled.
Looking past GWA and GLA, the FO also increases HUR's financial flexibility and accelerates the development of both GWA and GLA. Should stand them in good stead with the OGA for whatever Dr T has his eye on in the 31st licensing round. Applications have to be in by 14:00 on 7th Nov.

For the avoidance of doubt the risks Hecate higlights are valid but I remain heavily invested at this point in time
Couldn't have written it better myself "Been in this industry for a good many years been around and seen a lot to shake me anyhow. The people at the sharp end always manage to make things happen you know who you are. The wells will be completed, the FPSO will be moored, hooked up and the wells will be put on line thats what the engineers and operational people will do regardless of what cluster fcuks happen. Thats what we were paid for. But who knows the secret of the black majic box the reservoir engineers? Given the EPS is designed to prove up the concept of FB plays the key to the whole concept is interconnectivity of the large and small fractures. That is the biggest risk that faces the company. If you have ever climbed routes in the cairngorms cracks peter out and you have to pad across blank granite to get to the next one. OK so a horz well will connect these up, but its a small thin long hole in a big bit of rock. There is no guarantee that the fractures you have connected to are not blind who knows."
