Last thursday the B of E reported the greatest threat to UK growth assuming we get a EU deal is the slowdown in China.
If anything B of E has become a little optimistic assuming a deal and on recent growth forecast "Gross domestic product growth in the final quarter of 2018 fell to a quarterly rate of 0.2 percent from 0.6 percent in the previous quarter. This was in line with the average forecast in a Reuters poll of economists though slightly weaker than the Bank of England estimated last week.
He has learnt a lesson.

Boom,i don't like indirect taxation as it hits the poorest hardest.
If income tax was raised to 50% of tax take then we could reduce these unfair indirect taxes and help "your" poor far more than any zero rated tariffs.

Europe is a big place with economies of scale,better growing conditions for seasonal early/late crops.
You would be hard pressed to buy perishables anywhere else in the world cheaper.

I think what is key to share price is the reaction of hedge funds.
Back in May 2017 when the news was released on the 11th May shorting stood at 7.61% and they took full advantage of a falling SP to unload down to 4.09% on the 31st May.They then increased on a flat SP circa 400-450 up to 8.79% on the 1st Sept.
The next few days should indicate what their tactic's are.The fact that last time they increased by 4.7% and the SP didn't fall might reflect on what they do this time,IMHO.
