Did say yesterday that mortgage approvals down 4.2% Aug 17 to Aug 18. Put the two together and you may have a bit of a overhang in the housing mkt,IMHO.

No reduction in housing completions but housing starts have now fallen for 2 quarters(down3% to rolling 12 month totals of 160,000).Prehaps Jan-March could be put down to weather however April -June have shown no expansion.

JMO,our corporation tax is already low at 19%,only Switzerland,Singapore are marginally lower within G20 then we have Ireland at 12.5%.Is the money coming in already and remember at some point you'll reach the point of diminishing returns.

JMO,i'm with you now "for Britain" remember.
With FB we leave now on WTO so those ex pats might want to come back sooner if health insurance rockets but we'll still have the £11 billion EU saving to spend on them,plus we'll have the £8 billion of tariffs we've levied on the British consumer so we should be alright.
What do think about the £80 billion in cuts to public service's.Prehaps we could dress it up a bit and no one will notice.Suppose we could re-negotiate the contracts with Capita,Mitie,Interserve,push them a bit harder.
