Oxo,It does look like a general election could be on the cards.The media machine is constantly trashing Labour.A summer of anti semitism, and the usual repeat of project fear,things are bad now but it will be worse under Labour.
The conservatives need to sell positive policies.They need to say they will sort out the Railways,they will build the houses,they will re build the infrastructure,bring immigration down to the 10's of thousands and balance the deficit.

Governments love to get their own way and it's easy to push your own citizens around but when you don't get your own way don't stir up your population by saying the insults were directed at them.

Livestock,i wrote what i wrote yesterday before i witnessed her outburst which i feel was more for her credibility within the Conservative party.The FX markets took full advantage and if the £ continues this trend then a no deal becomes the most likely outcome.
Interesting to see the markets feel the £ would come of worse than the Euro.

After 43 years of partnership did we show respect?.Did Theresa show any respect for the British electorate.For 2016 and most of 2017 we we're kept in the dark as to what our position was on the basis it would damage our negotiating position.To me it felt more like selling a dodgy second hand car to a complete stranger,did we treat them like a close friend of 43 years.
The EU's position has been clear from the start,Norway,Turkey,Canada or no deal.From the start it was very clear no cherry picking.
To be clear no deal isn't a no deal as we do have WTO to fall back on.A no deal would be a N.Korea or Iran facing full sanctions etc.
Our no deal would hurt.If Canada faced a no deal with America it would hurt as much as Scotland facing a no deal with rest of UK.
Canada free trade is possible if we clear up the free movement of goods over NI/Ireland border,people are ok as we already have a CTA.BBC stated yesterday 30% of goods leaving Holyhead are destined for NI so will travel through Irish customs no need for further checks.NI staying in customs union is possible but would our £100m a piece DUP MP's except it?.
We still have the "put it to the people" escape route but then we must show respect to the will of 17m people back in June 2016,who were completely briefed up on the consequences.

A good week for Lloyds and other UK focused banks so a little friday afternoon profit taking.
Whatever was said yesterday the markets have ignored any bad aspects and i personally feel that no deal is now further away.
If Dow holds this rise even with the $500b trade war over hanging then Lloyds trend will continue into next week.

Only yesterday livestock posted a very interesting one on young banker of the year.It indicates the achievement one can gain via Lloyds training.
